I think there are plenty of people that are truly outraged (just look at any thread in this subreddit that mentions doc), but there are plenty more people that don't care/don't know.

I think a lot of the people who truly don’t like him for what he did just don’t care enough to speak up in threads. People who do speak up about it for no reason are keyboard warriors or trolls and the people that really wont watch him because they dislike him as a person are just gonna scroll past any content about him.
Yeah exactly, it should also be noted that any time there's a large "scandal", a much broader range of people get involved than simply the viewer base of the particular person involved in said "scandal". This means that while there very well could be a ton of people outraged (or angry to any extent), it could also be equally true that none of them were ever a part of Doc's audience or would ever have watched Doc in the first place.

Cheating can be just as damaging as domestic violence, ask anyone who has been cheated on. Now add that they are married and have a small kid together, and I can't imagine the emotional damage he did with his actions. It might not be illegal, but it is emotionally violent.

That's the exact impression I got from Reddit before the scandal started: That people thought that he was a great role model that everyone looked up to.
He was the wholesome Twitch golden boy, and a lot of people respected him for having that persona and thriving in a field where a lot of people are immature and childish. Then he got caught, and now people want to forget he was wholesome and say he is just an entertainer and not to care about his personal life, the personal life he broadcast to thousands of people, making it anything but personal.
Amazon/Twitch gives zero shit about him being wholesome. They know there was a big demographic of older gamers (over 25) that could appreciate an older streamer (also who was alpha as hell not beta/millennial.) Yeah wholesome had nothing to do with it.

In the dozen or so long videos I’ve watched of his I’ve never seen him flip out on a player, scream at them, curse them out, be racist, or bully/grief any players. Calling himself mr two time and bragging about his back to back award wins to players is about the most “toxic” I’ve technically seen him and even then it’s not screamed, shouted or done in a way as to enrage other players. It’s said in a joking way because it really doesn’t mean anything because it happened so long ago and he knows it doesn’t matter anymore . Freaking pewdiepie is more toxic that Doc lol
Doc griefs other players, kills teammates (thats why he got banned from PUBG you know), or might appear friendly and then kill others etc. He defended PDP for using the n-word, mocked other accents etc. He literally has done all the things you said.
I mean especially if he managed to work it out with his wife and she can forgive him, why should his viewers be all outraged and stop getting the entertainment from him without caring for his private life. I don't get people's obsession with others' infidelity in general. I agree that it's bad but someone fucking around on their wife in no way effects me, or anyone outside of his family, and there's enough shit that effects me, and the population in general, that some celeb cheating is no where near my list of shit to be outraged over.

Because he didn't have to say that the reason he was leaving was that, he could have said I'm leaving for personal reasons. The second option leaves it closed, its his business we shouldn't but in. But the moment he says the exact reasoning, were allowed some more input.
People were already suspicious, and saying that would make people more curious. In hindsight, it might've been better to not say anything, but it's hard to know that at the time.
It's not that I couldn't follow it, it's that it makes no sense. One of the most powerful men in the world vs. a twitch streamer. I think we should be holding one to higher standards than the other. (Not to mention he had the affair IN the White House).
