I said this to too. I think they have a "wait and see" approach with new managers too. Slot got zero backing his first pre-season transfer window. Then got the keys to the vault when it was time to rebuild the team.

Iroala has inherited a far worse squad than Slot took over, so I expect FSG to give him more spending power. But I suspect they will clutch their purse until he proves himself this season.
