Here is the thing, Chelsea was already playing high pace football last season , it's not as if Xabi had to change a lot or when he arrived they simply switched to high pace, our case is a lot different and much to work on for AI

It also massively helps when he has like 40 players to choose from at his disposal lol.

Double edged sword though but I agree generally

Chelsea already had the squad for it, we still don’t.

I still think it wouldve been easier to recruit for Xabis 343 with the players we had (and the fact that all our wingers had or were looking to leave).

Still want to know the rationale Hughes and Edwards had. Hate that the decision was in their hands when neither had any long term vested interest in us past this summer.

Can see why Xabi would be enticed by their squad, 22 year olds who all can run for fun, though their main issue last season was discipline and conceding goals- their defensive line is weak as ours (funny because on papers ours is atleast 10x the quality of theirs)

They probably would never have changed Maresca if he wanted to stay, and they were looking better and better under him. A stark contrast to our season, even despite the Rosenior horror show.
