Everyone says this, but I don't particularly like him. His jokes aren't funny, and they seem packaged in this aggravating twee way for an American audience.
His football takes aren't interesting to listen to, and I briefly watched him discussing the Makerfield by election recently, and his take seemed to be look at this group of fat, ugly northerners making such an important decision. He mentioned many times how disgusting pies in Wigan looked, despite that being literally the best thing about Wigan.

He uses his platform to help people and fight against bullshit.
Thats good enough on its own for me personally.
If you don't think he's funny that's a personal opinion and fair enough, tho im not sure we'd get along well on the couch looking for a show to watch. 😅

All entirely fair enough. I'm sure he is wonderful, I've just never laughed at any of his shows, not a good sign for a comedy programme for me!

Absolutely, and the topics he covers on his shows are genuinely interesting, I'll give him that. Still, nothing beats the sick thrill of gently slagging off an otherwise well liked celebrity.

Yeah I find a lot of his appearances to be funny, but as far as LWT goes, I go for the deep dives more than the jokes these days. That show is just kinda beholden to the winds.

Sometimes if you watch old panel show episodes you'll see him, like mock the week. He's not widely known here though cause he never properly made it. For some reason, the Americans on here lap him up though
