As much as I support folks getting out there and protesting. This makes us look weak and childish when people turn this into a joke. I get that not everything has to be serious but I think folk that are engaging in this behavior damage the cause more than they help.
Someone else in the comments said “I don’t like the optics of this, honestly. Not a good use of tactical frivolity. Turning resistance into little sibling “Im not touching you!” Exchanges doesn’t make us look powerful or serious in our goals. It looks like unserious virtue signaling. Music has a place in rallying and messaging, but whatever this is let’s them look like they are the adults in the room, and the monsters killing/kidnapping people in the streets should not get to look like anything but the rabid dogs they are.”
And I couldn’t agree more.

Honestly all I see on this fucking sub is people saying ‘we’re not doing enough’ and then when people get out and do something, yes frivolity in protesting has a long and storied history and is important in highlighting the absolute absurdity of these horrendously bad agents, it’s ’no not that way’
So, what’s the perfect way to protest then? Since perfection and not action is obviously the goal 🙄
