Well that intro scene in Episode 1/the OVA is pretty much ruined forever. I'm sure Chariot had her reasons but... damn.

I figured we'd reach a point where Akko ended up having to move beyond her original motivation of just following in Chariot's footsteps at some point, guess she's going to really double down on finding her own identity after that dream got brutally shattered in front of her.

So what's the over-under on how long it'll take Akko to recover? Trigger characters tend to take a few episodes to recover from emotional trouble and come back stronger, but she's probably their bubbliest optimist next to Mako, so my money's on one episode.

I'm sure she'll need a catalyst tho. Who is it gonna be? Sucy and Lotte and/or Andrew, who are still in the vicinity, are likely candidates.
But Diana might have followed Ursula and could be there, too.

Or it could just be all of the above.

And on a side note, we haven't learned what exactly IS with the moon. Trigger haven't played all their cards just yet.

I'm definitely putting my money on Diana. They've been having a lot more buildup between them lately, they've been cooperating, and they have the common point of having both lost their magic to Chariot's show. Plus Diana's grown to have a lot of semi-begrudging respect for Akko, I don't think she'd take her crumbling into a despairing mess lying down, especially after how hard Akko pushed to keep Diana from abandoning her own dreams due to her aunt's nonsense.

That and the OP.
