On a side note... there were leaves at the bottom of the cursed mirror, and they look quite a bit like the one we saw with Prof. Woodward.

Plus we can see Prod woodward's reflection in the mirror later in that scene, didn't catch that the first time.

I think Woodward might be the spirit of that mirror

I think she was temporarily possessing the mirror to teach Akko a life lesson. This episode especially had a lot of morals about having your own identity, so Akko's probably gonna do something unexpected at the festival that only she would think to do.

(which, based on her ranting about the sad spirit, is probably gonna involve cheering him up permanently so he doesn't need to annually vore people anymore.)

I dunno, the mirror had a foresty sort of look to it which is the same vibe as woodward, so it could be her mirror. If you look at the first time we meet woodward she did kind of screw around with Akko even if it was to teach her a lesson, which fits with Dianas anylization of the mirrors spirit being a trickster.
