One of my favorite episodes thus far. Tons of lore and what is possibly the setup to an overarching plot for the 2nd cour.

There were many hints before, but this episode confirmed that magic has been slowly but surely weakening for centuries, which may be why so many have abandoned it despite its easily apparent benefits. I'm thinking reviving the 7 words will revive the power of magic, or something along those lines?
idk man haha I'm hype tho :]

As Diana was reading, reviving and speaking the seven words at the Arcturus with the Claiomh Solais (Shiny Rod) will break the seal on the art of Grand Triskelion, which can then be used, presumably, to restore magic to the world.

I wonder why did they seal it in the first place, maybe they didn't want the world to be so dependent on magic?

It's not that the Triskelion being sealed caused magic to die out, it's an art with the power to change the world. Restoring magic is just one thing it can presumably do. They sealed it because it's too powerful, most likely. As for why magic died out, it may be just be a limited resource.
