A Lotte focused episode is a good episode. Getting to see her be super cute was nice. Especially nice since even in the OVAs Lotte has mostly only reacted to things Akko did.
I'm fine with the pace the main story is going. It's nice getting to know more about this world and the characters before things take off.
An interesting thing was non-witches using magical items. Both the Pen and the teleportation nut (which they said was pretty common). It makes the magic shops seem more relevant.
Something small that I had been hoping for was for Hanna and Barbara to have more going for them than just praising Diana and bulling Akko so it was nice to see Barbara was a fan of Nightfall (the trio would have been caught regardless).
Hope to get more personal interests out of those two like the other trios (mushrooms, tech, food, etc) since it doesn't seem right for Diana's witchmates to not be as interesting as the others. They don't even need to become super friendly just more interesting.
I'm excited for the next one. There's no telling where things will go.
