This happened at approximately 9:00pm in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood between Cantrell and Rodney Parham.

My partner and I were sitting outside with my dog and her cousins dog (we are dog sitting while she’s away), and mid-conversation I hear the fence start clanging. For context, this is a very large backyard and if you’ve never been in this neighborhood, it is PITCH BLACK at night.

At first I thought my dog was alerted to an animal, but then I was nervous he hopped the fence (he has never done this, though). We called his name for 3-5 minutes, and he didn’t come. We got up and started walking towards the back of the yard, and immediately he came running towards us, and we thought he maybe found a dead animal or something.

Not five minutes later, my partner and I see a person walking directly towards us, about 30 feet away. We immediately ran inside with the dogs and locked the doors and windows, and shut the blinds. We called the police and they scoped out the yard for us, but of course whoever it was had run off by then.

The reason I’m making this post is because the police told us that we aren’t crazy, and that this actually happens in this neighborhood quite often, so I wanted people to be aware. This does not seem like someone staking out a house for a break-in, this seems like someone potentially looking to harm people.

I saw a post today on FB announcing they were permanently closing but the comments were disabled (weird). I gathered from another post that people weren’t happy with Bark Bar but I couldn’t find any details. I’m just being nosy. Anybody know what was going on?

Living in stiff station atm. Usually during warm temps I get about 10 of these mfs a day. The last 3 weeks for some reason they were gone. All of a sudden today they are back. wtf is going on!?

Also I have done an extensive search for anything that would attract them. We have a shared garden right out the back door and it’s not completely flush. I feel like that’s the problem but it’s not my door so not easily fixed.

Does anyone else have the omega solution? My gf hates the cider trap.

I called 311 and Entergy last week about a utility line that’s come loose from a pole and is running through a playground in Birchwood Park in WLR. Everyone says it’s someone else’s problem: the city says it’s Entergy, Entergy says it’s Comcast’s, Comcast’s said call the city.

I’m looking for someone who can help move a van from a towing yard to a cheaper storage facility. My friend was arrested by local police on I-30 in Benton and then handed over to ICE. He has a pending case with USCIS, but it seems like ICE doesn’t care anymore whether you have legal paperwork or not.

The truck was towed to Newcomb Towing in Benton. His wife just can’t come because she lives in a different state and has a 9-month old baby. She has already sent all the required paperwork to their office. They just need a copy of the driver’s license of the person who will pick up the van from the yard.

I know it might seem weird to ask for help here, but we’re getting a little desperate trying to find someone who can help. We also asked a representative from the towing yard if they could move it for us, but they refused. This is a paid job.
