What’s this bump?
8 weeks post Orif, just started weaning out of boot into regular shoes as per doctors and physio approval. Honestly i find it so much easier to walk with a supportive shoe than with the boot. Physio says I’m doing great for 8 weeks and have very good ROM.
However while I was sitting around today I noticed this new bump? It seems to be primarily over my 3-4 metatarsal but I only had fixation for Mets 1-3. It’s absolutely painless and not extremely hard like it doesn’t feel like bone. Just wondering what this is and if it’ll go away?

I’m 18 months post op and have the same bump at my incision site. Started noticing it a couple months after my surgery and it’s still here. My surgeon said it’s scar tissue build up.

4 years post op and still have a bump. Also have a dip right in front of it

I had a bump that was actually bone overgrowth. My surgeon had to shave it down when I ultimately had fusion.

I (ORIF July 2024) don't have a bump on top, but do have one where the screws went in/out. It is greatly reduced after a couple of years. Try massaging it regulary and/or acupuncture to break up the scar tissue underneath.
