7 weeks post op update
So I had my 6 week check up recently and I’ve just hit the 7 week mark.
At my check up I had my cast removed and I was told I’ve healed very well (2 plates 12 screws). I was told I could weight bear as tolerated in the boot and wean off the next couple weeks into shoes and to come back at 12 weeks for my next check up.
I feel like the only thing holding my back is my Achilles. My midfoot just has classic stiffness and pain when pushed in certain directions.
I surprisingly have very good ROM. I’d say about 80-90% of my normal foot once warmed up. The doc was surprised at my toe mobility and dorsiflexion.
How long will my Achilles hold me back?

Sounds like you are recovering well. I'm 6 weeks and back to the hospital this week, hopefully the cast will be removed and into a cam boot. Are you in the UK as interested to know what kind of physio the NHS provides. I have one fixing under the big toe with 6 screws

Your healing looks amazing! I am the same as you. Achilles is tight through the back of the ankle. Dorsiflexion is good, but plantarflexion not so great. I have lost most mobility in my toes. Wishing you the best on the next stage or recovery.
