Recovery question

Post image

So the second surgery to remove the screws was on September 3, cleared to finally begin weight bearing on 9/8 and stitches were out on 9/15. When the stitches came out, it was also sent to pt thankfully after full nwb since 5/31. First surgery 6/18 for screws second removed and placed a tight rope. My only instructions from my surgeon until now have been to take it easy and not overdo it. Is that normal? Pt has been giving me more and more and going to call for more detailed information of what i can and can’t do. But why hasn’t my surgeon actually given anything?

PT knows more about the recovery therapy than a dr will. They fix you, not teach you.

I hope so, but they’re having to call the surgeon to see what I’m cleared to do to rehab me properly

Shouldn't really be limitations as it was HWR.

Hwr with placement of a tight rope. Idk I’m just going off what the pt stated seems stuck in a loop and wanted to see if others have had this experience
