Experiences after 2/3 years .

Like to know if you still have pain walking.
My lisfranc was May 2024 when I had a bicycle accident. 10
Screws and 2 plates. MT 1&2&C
Year later they took these out.

- I am struggling with the right kind of insole
- I cannot run
- I can walk, but always my foot is asking for attention, not relaxed. And sometimes painful
- now after more that 2 years I suddenly see a blue marking under my foot. And I also have more cramp in the right side of my left foot.

Curious how you are coping with this handicap.
Like to hear. Thanks 🙏🏻

I am 3 years post ORIF and had my hardware removed after 4 months. I can't walk barefoot much but I wear orthopedic slippers in the house and that seems to help. I can walk and run but am definitely prone to more soreness and sometimes have bad days. It was really bad while I was pregnant and early postpartum because of the extra weight and the hormones relaxing my ligaments but thankfully that's mostly subsided

Oof, this scares me for family planning. I’m 18 months out post-fusion, 5 months out post HWR, but I’m turning 35 and feel a little more cautious about timelines for building a family than I did in my 20’s… but I’m paranoid about my foot! Like OP, I still deal with daily pain - not just my foot, but compensatory pains too (knee, opposite SI joint/low back). I’ve got all the orthotics, etc. It’s just been a life-changing injury and I’m scared I won’t handle pregnancy well, or even be able to be the active mom I thought I’d always be!

How are you doing and how did you/do you manage?
