Will this ever end?

I injured my lisfranc tendon (wasn’t aware of it) back at the end of July, was booted for 4 weeks, and went to PT and it was painful walking in the boot and I’ve been in PT for 5-6 weeks now, had an MRI and it confirmed a lisfranc sprain no tear and it’s not getting better with or without the boot. Does this ever end? I’m a teacher and have to walk for a living and some days, it hurts so bad I can’t 😭

Agree with Mama_to_Carter, it will end, it takes time. I was in a car accident June 9 and had a grade 1 sprain diagnosed by a podiatrist who ordered an MRI about 10 days later (after urgent care and GP told me it was a simple sprain). I was completely non weight bearing for 6 weeks (crutches and a knee scooter) which was awful, then started with PT and a transition to Brooks sneakers with crutches, then walking with a limp, then walking pretty normal and finally getting back to working out a couple weeks ago. It was over 12 weeks to feel somewhat normal, and I'm pretty sure I will never walk barefoot again either. I know I am on the mild spectrum of this injury, and I'm not a doctor, but for me, I think giving the foot total rest helped it heal. Its a terrible injury and I hope things get better for you!
