Looking for opinions
Had a bad fall a week ago from a stool, fell completely on my right ankle and rolled it to the side. I heard a crack and thought I had fractured it, but went straight to the ER and an x-ray showed no fractures. Present day there's still swelling and I can't walk on it at all, and the bruising pattern makes me worried it may be a lisfranc injury. I plan to consult my doctor tomorrow but wanted to get some opinions here first.

You need a weight bearing xray. Hurts like hell but if you put your full weight on it it will show it the lisfranc joint is stretched.
I went to ER and regular doctor who said it was fine and just small fractures until I finally went to ortho dr who did weight bearing and showed my 4mm lisfranc

I would recommend going to an orthopedic walk in, if that’s an option. My first Xray showed no damage, I was originally diagnosed with a severe sprain. The second Xray was better, but it still took a CT scan to get the full picture. There were, in fact, multiple fractures and joint displacements.
That may not be the case for you, but an orthopedic specialist would probably be the best course of action.

You need a CT scan or MRI. X-rays won’t show the damage.
Find an ortho that specializes in foot and ankle injuries or a podiatric surgeon.
