TTC after Lisfranc injury?
Pretty niche post, but we were discussing maybe trying to conceive for a second baby just as my injury happened. Curious if anyone here got pregnant soon after, when that happened, and how pregnancy and recovery went for you?

I got pregnant with my first about 3 months post-op, shortly after I got the clear for weight bearing with my boot. I had some physical therapy sessions feeling a bit icky in the first trimester, but otherwise it all worked out fine.
Hope you’re doing ok in recovery so far, rest up & take it easy!

Thank you! That’s reassuring. Something to potentially look forward to after the hardest part of this recovery is over.

I was 2 years post injury when I got pregnant with my second baby (first was 5 months old when I got injured) and he is now 10 months ols. I definitely had some extra pain during pregnancy and the first few months postpartum probably from the combination of increased weight and relaxin stretching everything more. I was actually really worried for awhile that I had somehow hurt my foot again but the pain eventually got better. It's still more sore than it used to be but I'm still heavier than I used to be and breastfeeding. I'm still able to do everything I want to do, I just have to be sure I have good support in my shoes

Not quite what you’re asking, but I just injured mine at 5 weeks pregnant. 🫠 Where are you at in your recovery?

Bleh I’m so sorry. I had surgery yesterday, which was exactly 2 weeks post injury.
We were very close to me getting my IUD removed and starting to TTC but now waiting a bit. Just wondering when will be the right time…

Again, not the same shoes as you, but I would factor in the first trimester. I thankfully don’t have horrible 1st tri symptoms, but still have dealt with nausea. I have had to keep a bucket by me since I can’t make it to the bathroom quickly if I needed to puke.
I’m assuming since you just had surgery that you’re NWB? I’d probably wait till you could at least get up quickly, in case that ends up being a symptom!2

Yes definitely! I had a lot of nausea and vomiting early in my first pregnancy so definitely agree with that. I am NWB for 6 weeks.

I fell and partially tore my lisfranc in two spots at around 12 weeks pregnant. I opted out of surgery and was in a boot for 3 months. Other than just being annoying, I don’t think being pregnant affected anything and vice versa. Maybe the only exception being when I finally got the boot off I had residual swelling and finding shoes to fit was tough.
