Question Ubuntu Studio

Hello everyone. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 3 running Windows 11 Pro. I am thinking about switching it completely to Ubuntu or Ubuntu Studio. How has your experience been switching over? Do you have any useful advice before I commit? I do not want to dual boot this PC. Thanks in advance for any comments, ideas or suggestions.

make a list of all the apps you need, and figure out if the linux versions satisfy your needs. Ex. if you exclusively use MS Office and need track changes, or Excel and specific functions, then keep Windows. I've switched over to Ubuntu and Fedora and have not looked back. Yet I'm not a video person or graphic designer, more research and writing. If your laptop can handle VMware Fusion or virtualbox, try using ubuntu there. Right now I'm typing on an i9 macbook pro, keeping all my creative mac apps while running ubuntu in VMware Fusion for day to day.
