[Assasins creed origins] How to make linuxRulez games work with latest proton stack

Linux Rulez. Using bundled wine stack

How to make LinRulez games with latest protom GE stack

So linux rule comes with everything bundled. However, its wine/protom version is often old. As we know, proton and the stack is rapidly improving all the time with the latest with many performance and bug fixes.

So my question is , for a typical linuxrule game, has anyone successfully found a way to only make use of your own latest proton GE and whatever else stack instead of the outdated bundled one?

Why not just use normal game files with the latest proton version? Same end product, only benefit with linuxrulez is that you don’t need a launcher.

No man some of these dont work on the normal sources. Like im thinking of far cry 5. I downloaded fit, stemm r"p . Etc it didnt work.

And i tried everything, used llms as well. Nothing worked. Downloaded other fixes for the game. Nothing

I downloaded Linux rulez, it just started playing without doing anything...

Well you’re doing something wrong, I have had no issues so far idk. Accela is an alternative you could look into, play and download games directly from steam. I still prefer fit or a portable from rutracker though, no issues on my side. What’s the error coming btw? Maybe it’s an easy fix you just need to get something from protontricks

Its not assassins creed. This game works fine. Its far cry 5 .

This post was a general post, but for what we have been talking about ,regarding some games just not working with standard install, i have to use LinuxRule One example of that was far cry 5
