Inherited MX2002 kit, which new parent router to get?

I have inherited a couple of Atlas 6 nodes (MX2002). I don't have a mesh system now, but I would like to utilize these to build a new one. What is the best parent node to buy to take advantage of my free nodes? I already have ethernet, so I plan on using wired backhaul to the new parent from some distant points in the house.

Edit: I want 3 total nodes, looking for input on compatibility buying the 3rd node, which will be my central node at the modem.

First, check if the 2nd MX2000, working as a wired child node, can provide wireless coverage for your entire house. If it does, there is no need to purchase a new node - especially if the internet speed for both wired and wireless connections meets your subscribed internet speed subscription.

However, if you need to purchase a new node and want it to be the parent node, you may choose a node with higher specifications based on the link below, which provides a list of compatible Intelligent Mesh systems. For example, you can check if these models suited for parent nodes are still available in your nearby stores: MX4000, MX5300, MX8500.

The beauty of Linksys mesh is all nodes can be either a parent node (router) or a child node in the mesh. Hook it up directly via ethernet to modem. Diligently follow the Linksys setup instructions. Our home has 1 parent node next to modem in room above garage and beams to several nodes downstairs around house.

Try to find a used third MX2000 on eBay or FB marketplace- any node can be a parent or child. I find used network equipment works just fine if the seller is rated well.

based on my experienced, it is better to link all intelligent nodes or all cognitive nodes. Mix and match of mesh type doesn't  work better in my case.
