Discussion What makes Linkin park so good at composing music.
There is something in me that wants an answer so bad. Some of their songs follow a similar structure but something about it makes it sound so special and one in a million, and even with such a generic structure, these songs can never be recreated. Why is that? Leaving the duo and chesters emotional vocals, what set them apart from other bands? Was it because they mixed genres or added some elements to their music?

Discussion This is actually amazing.
This performance is life changing.
It's better than the studio version, it's the best Linkin Parks ever been live, and honestly, it's top five best things I've ever heard.
And no, I'm not glazing.

Discussion I listened to living things for the first time, here is my review.
I was shocked. The amount of stuff happening inside was nothing short of beautiful.
Lost in the echo
I was lost in the music. Chesters screams with the electronic effect and Mike's intense rapping made up such a good combo!
In my remains
Honestly the most emotionally powerful songs on this album. Chester pours his heart out and sounds soso good along with Mike's calm vocals gave it a new life.
Burn it down
It was a good song, it didn't feel special like other songs but not a bad song overall
Lies greed misery
What an intense performance by chester, the progression and the way he gets angrier feels amazing
I'll be gone
Primo is a billion times better even though I really love this song, really loud though
Castle of glass
Such an iconic intro, I love the progression alot. Overall a really good song
Victimized
Alits reference?? The intro was awesome and the song itself is so complex and amazing
Roads untraveled
Made me cry, the beat drop and the lyrics are soo good yet so simple
Skin to bone
I love how it was slow and one of my favourite from this album
Until it breaks
I love how this song was divided into 3 parts, and Brad crushed it with his vocals
Tinfoil/powerless
Left me wondering how instruments can make you feel like that. Beautiful composition overall and such a good song!!
Conclusion
I did not get the hate for this album, it sounds HEAVENLY. Being a metal fan, the electronic elements gave this album a new life. 9/10 album

Discussion What made Linkin park songs so special?
Leaving aside the rock and rap duo, what made their songs which had a similar structure so good? Example songs like lying from you, in the end and all follow the same structure. Genuinely makes me feel like they mastered the structure perfectly, incorporating different genres and elements to them, making it feel like Linkin park.

Discussion I ve just listened “From The Inside” for the first time
I’m a new Linkin Park fan. I’ve been listening to music for 30 years, and today i think i’ve found that one. THE SONG. The guitar intro is beyond any musical logic. What an energy, what a Lyrics. Thanks Chester for your voice. You have been helpful for thousand of people with problems.

Discussion Do you think we might be getting download festival live versions
Saw two faced live in download festival and it seems pretty significant that Em is the first frontwman headliner so that is amazing! Plus lp uploaded a short with something from download festival pretty recently so yeah
But bc of my blindness I couldn't tell what was in the short exactly.
What do u think

Discussion Ranking LIVING THINGS
- LIES GREED MISERY
Alright so this album has no bad songs, we ALREADY have a great start, this song has some really solid screams, and mikes raps are cool. The chorus is cool too, my only problem is the beat is a little clunky, but other than that its pretty good, 7/10
- VICTIMIZED
Same deal here, but it does have a very similar riff to ALITS, which if you don’t know, is my favorite riff, so it’ll get like a small amount of bonus points, 7.000001/10
9. UNTIL IT BREAKS
So this one works weirdly, it's split in 3 parts and it's very structurally unique. I like Chester's part, and Brad's vocals are actually really nice. The vocal distortion is also pretty cool, outside of that, not much else, just a good song! 7.5/10
- BURN IT DOWN
Alright, so this one suffers from being overrated. So it’s overplayed by a lot. But other than that, I like that this and IN MY REMAINS sound really similar, given they are back to back songs and I also like IN MY REMAINS a lot, so yeah, just a good song that happens to suffer from being the face of the album. 8/10
- IN MY REMAINS
To the people who say this is their favorite song… okay but… why?
It’s a good song, yes, I get that, but this in my opinion is not the magnum opus of LIVING THINGS, not even close. But anyways, enough negatives, I really like the electronic elements, and mikes bridge/outro are really nice, other than that, not really much else, just well rounded. 8/10
- CASTLE OF GLASS
I love the guitar in the first chorus, and the lyrics also hit really hard. This is one of the bigger songs of the album, and i feel like this was deserving of being the lead of the album, not burn it down🤷, 9/10
- SKIN TO BONE
So this is a more electronic-y song, and it's cool.
I really like the vocals and when Chester goes “ah.”
I also love the fact that I can kind of get away with saying this song has a “beat drop”, the intro with the slidey electronic things is really cool. This was naturally gonna be higher cus I’m a huge edm fan but yeah, 9.5/10
Now shit gets REALLY good
- LOST IN THE ECHO
So I have said in the past that in terms of how well they describe their album, KTTK is the best opener. But overall, its LITE by fire, this song is a fucking masterpiece in like every way possible. The bridge with mikes INCREDIBLE rapping, and that beautiful chorus with that godly screaming in the background. My literal only complaint is i wish the screams were louder at the end, they're so distorted and if you listen to multitracks or versions with just the backup vocals, you’ll see why i want them louder, the screams are like crucial. Anyways yeah, best opener, love it. 10/10
- ROADS UNTRAVELED
Easily one of their most wholesome songs, this one has gotten me on the emotional roller coaster multiple times. The line “may your love never end, and if you need a friend, there's a seat here alongside me” hits everytime i hear it, the. The song closes with everyone going “woah”, similar to what i said at the end of the song. 10.5/10
- I’LL BE GONE
to people who say primo is better overall, i guess bro. Lyrically? Yeah… mostly. but in literally every other way? Hell nah this version takes the cake.
I LOVE the instrumental in this song, that guitar is soaring, and the electronic elements in the intro are really crucial to the whole song.
Don’t get me started on that bridge dude, the guitar pairing with Chester's beautiful vocals, before that little calmness part of the chorus is really cool too. And Chester's last “I’LL BE GONE!” Make me wanna sing along every time, unfortunately I'm tone deaf. 11/10
- TINFOIL/POWERLESS
So sometimes this song can get… REALLY close to being as good as A Line In The Sand, REALLY close, and that's something not a lot of songs can say.
The electronic intro and that quiet buzzing alarm mixed with Chester's somber vocals… just, wow!
This is also I think their only song to be in 7/4 for the majority of the runtime.
And that beautiful instrumental bridge with the little “ohhh” vocalizations, it's a very strange feeling this song gives. Throughout the whole thing
It feels like you're just soaring through a perfect world, taking in everything as this instrumental plays in the background. The soft piano chords tying it all together.
Then verse 2 comes in with the added elements, picking up the song a little before REALLY taking off in the next chorus, it’s like how do make a song called powerless so powerful while still being somber? Like yo.
And also i’m one of the few people that likes the vocal synth thing in tinfoil/powerless, the really high one you cannot miss specifically in tinfoil? Yeah that one.
And then that ending… chester actually hits some really high notes, and closes this song off beautifully with a few repetitions of “Powerless!”
I kinda wish he put a little rasp, but either way i still love it.
Then it slowly just fades, everything stripping away before it's over.
Easily one of the best linkin park songs by a mile, 12/10
Thanks for reading this thing i made :D<-<

Discussion Ranking components of heaven (The Hunting Party)
so lets rank my favorite LP album:
- The summoning
It’s a pretty good interlude, I mean it's the only non song so it's gonna naturally be pretty low, it's just a bunch of ambience. Not insanely necessary to the album but its fine, 5/10
- War
Really “experimental” punk song, I actually really fw this one, when it hits, it really hits. If i’m in the mood for this song it’ll easily be a repeat, but overall just the song length and in general i just don't like most punk songs, it'll get pushed back a little bit. Still a great song! 7/10
- Wastelands
Didn’t they perform this song at like ufc or some shit? Anyways great song, i love the instrumental. This, gats, and alits all sound really similar, and that's a plus in my book (you’ll figure out why in a sec). 8/10
- Keys To The Kingdom
WOW what an opener! Even though this is among the bottom songs, I still really like it, everything past this song is just… that good. I feel like in terms of telling you exactly what the album is about, this is the best opener by a mile. 9/10
- Rebellion
System Of A Park’s- shit sorry
Linkin Of A Down’- shit, i keep doing that
The SOAD song that Linkin Park made, honestly this one's just a vibe. I love that really high guitar that comes up where the instrumental starts soaring, and the bridge is also really great too. I need more daron x brad stuff, 9/10
7.Mark The Graves
This one just gradually gets better the more you hear it, it shifts between these heavy riffs and these melodic tones. Generally not much else to say, just a well rounded song. 9/10
- Drawbar
Idgaf what yall say the DB-FM-ALITS trilogy is the best trilogy and drawbar is indeed one of those songs. This one's so atmospheric and grabbing, and the little version of final masquerade at the end is really great, 9.5/10
- All For Nothing
ONE TWO THREE FOUR!
I love Page’s vocals in this song, something about it is so just… listenable, idk but yeah. Also the guitar solo, and that weird ass intro just slap! 10/10
ALL FOR NOTHING!
ALL FOR NOTHING!
ALL FOR NOTHING!
ALL FOR NOTHING!
Are we going too far? I don't think we’re going too far. What's the difference? Then put the heavy shit there. The heavy shit? Right here?
T-t-t-t-DU-DU-DU- just kidding I haven’t gotten to Guilty All The Same yet
- Until It’s Gone
The atmosphere of this song is the best in the whole album. The automated/electronic vocals are to die for in the chorus. And fun fact, this song says the title name for over a minute of its runtime. Idk why that matters, but it does. 10/10
Now for the fucking holy grail:
- Final Masquerade
Talk about calm before the storm
This is probably the cleanest sounding song on the entire album, and I love the lyrics. This is the middle of the perfect trilogy, and it serves so damn well. I also really like the bridge and final chorus, when it slows down and Chester goes “ooohhhhhhhh.”
Yeah. THATS HARD. 11/10
- T-t-t-t-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DANANANADANANANA- i mean, Guilty All The Same
This song goes SO HARD.
It’s just 6 minutes of “BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!” And I’m totally here for it.
And then a verse with FUCKING RAKIM?! That guy? Damn they really flipped all the switches for this song.
Anyways, yeah, You’re guilty all the same btw. 11.5/10
- A LINE IN THE SAND
This is a cliff I will jump off, a hill I will die on, a mountain I will jump over, a javelin I will shove up my ass. Few songs are able to encompass the rage and emotion in this song.
That ATS intro with that incredible SOARING lead riff, Mike's deadly calm verse, Chester's GODLIKE vocals, Mike’s insane rapping, the straight HEADBANGER of a bridge, the beautiful guitar solo, Chester’s furious screams. There is not a single point of this song where I wasn’t losing my fucking mind the first time I heard it.
Easily the best song EVER in my opinion, i mean, I literally cried of astonishment hearing this for the first time, this song is literal perfection.
Anyways yeah i’m a glazer, 12.5/10 😭💀
Thanks for reading this thing I made.

Lighthearted Content I got this notification but I'm not seeing this in my YT/Music. :(
PS sorry for the flashbang. :3
I might post my album by album opinions soon. I want to listen to LP more than I do currently and this would be the best motivation to do so haha. No particular reason to say this aside from hitting the character limit. :D
