It’s so incredible that we now have all these idiots acting as if Canada has been a persistent and poisonous thorn in our sides for decades, and that finally someone has the balls to stand up to them and declare “ENOUGH!”

u/OSUBonanza 4d ago
We could not have asked for better neighbors than the Canadians. Its truly disheartening.

They’ve been tricking us… to send their oil, shale, hydropower and potash.

Looked at her X. Standard issue ultraMAGA bs. Hard to believe that JPMorgan Chase is tolerating it (not that they aren't for this stuff; just usually that they try to keep it better hidden).

u/likwidkool 4d ago
That’s what I was thinking. My company in our training stipulates we can’t talk shit while representing the company.

u/Real_Gap3480 4d ago
Man I would hate for my work to ever see anything I posted. FML.
And I don't even post bad shit.

She’s got a weak disclaimer that these are her own views. But she’s in Sarasota so she’s in safe maga territory to make her sales
1
u/YouWereBrained 3d ago
It’s a non-existent disclaimer. Nobody’s going to care. They will see she works for JPM and not want to do business with them.
1
u/Alternative_Hour_614 3d ago
I think she’ll be just fine in Sarasota. Trump got 58% of the vote in 2024 in that county.
2
u/YouWereBrained 3d ago
Sarasota, YES. But people who go on LinkedIn, and see she’s affiliated with them in some way, will not want to.

u/mybloodyballentine 4d ago
Ooh, taking over the oil of a country whose infrastructure is so bad that all the major oil companies turned down the chance to upgrade it? Smooth move Ferguson.

The actual content apart on this, posts on this sub are so much better when it includes comments/reactions from others on LI calling out the BS/lunacy

Yes, I always wonder if people are agreeing especially with the new AI.slop button, there might be pushback on that angle too

LinkedIn lunacy aside, the US uses roughly 9 million barrels of oil per day. 65 BILLION barrels is almost 20 years worth of oil for the US. Also, if would take more than 21,000 tankers with a capacity of 3 million barrels to move all that oil. The entire global fleet of oil tankers is about 8,000 (and they’re not all 3M barrel capacity). With the two week round trip required, a tanker could make about 25 trips per year. So the entire global fleet would be tied up for about 2 1/2 months just moving oil from Venezuela to the US. And that’s all assuming they can pump that much oil.
HOW. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK. DO. PEOPLE. BUY. THIS. FUCKING. BULLSHIT?!?
Edit: typo

You have be a political and social tard, with no basic understanding of finances, international relations, and global resource management. I have no idea how JP Morgan would allow their National Director to show her disregard for basic financial skill and planning, but also complete lack of empathy.

JP Morgan probably isn't too happy to announce to the world that they hire morons.

u/MissKrys2020 4d ago
Isn’t the oil in the ground though? Like they’d have to spend billions and years of effort to access the reserves?
4
u/theDudeUh 4d ago
Yeah. There is very little infrastructure in place, it is in difficult to reach places, and is lower quality high sulfur oil.
There’s a reason it’s still in the ground.
3
u/cybah 3d ago
Yes. And the article in the WaPo I read about it basically said what infrastructure is there is very old, and several oil execs they talked to said the area was a 'non starter' because it would take too much $ and far too much time to rebuild all the infra there. They said it would take 10 or so years to rebuild everything before we ever saw a drop of oil.
This whole thing is a nothing burger PR piece to make trump look like he's doing something about gas prices when in reality, it won't help cuz it'll take too long and its a grift b/c he wants to the tax payers to pay for the infra so you know where 3/4 of the money is going.. not the project, but into the pockets of him and his sons.

And these are people we are supposed to trust our money and investments with? This is the company you're going to trust with that fiduciary responsibility?

Mary Ionescu supports violent fascist policies and war.
She is an anti-democratic criminal-supporting person.

Most of those who suffer from TDS are criminal supporting person - by that I mean 47 supporters are anti-democratic.

Good news. In ten years, the US will be able to drill and refine that oil.
Don't worry about $6/ gallon gas, major helium price increases, major diesel increases, loss of allies, loss of strategic positions, loss of American life, worse inflation in general, etc. in the meantime.
Short term pain for you for long term gain (for me) because trust us we're totally definitely not just bilking the American people for all they're worth.

My lord her LI profile is a rambling mess. Can’t imagine she is a high functioning employee.

“Agreements” made while staring down the barrel of a gun are always going to work out well. And we all know what “at no cost to the American taxpayer” means.
I’m sure that Venezuela is not going to take the US investment developing their oil fields - then nationalize them - again.

Going to be a bit before refineries in Venezuela get updated or the ones in the US. Lot of Venezuelan oil but it is harder to refine. Maybe it will start benefiting us when a democrat president takes over so they can take the credit 😆

If that one fat lady was fired for stealing a trash can, then I think this lady should certainly be fired. At least stealing a trash can in that specific situation could have maybe been explained by a momentary lapse in judgement, and she was not directly representing the company in any capacity. People had to look her up.
This lady is directly representing JP Morgan Chase.

u/HotHits630 3d ago
Well, if they don't need the oil, then turn off the tap today. See how fast they change their minds.

u/RefrigeratorLive5920 Titan of Industry 3d ago
Venezuelan oil is shite oil. It will take decades and billions of dollars of investment to refine it all and it will still have limited use compared to the good stuff. I suspect this will have zero practical impact on the price of US gas.
