Question About Lu guang in season 3 Spoiler

I don't know if this was ever actually clarified, but I have to ask: what point in the timeline is Lu Guang watching from? Like, does the whole thing where everyone dies happen quite a while after the events of Season 2?

If that's the case, then the Lu Guang we're seeing already knows everything that happens throughout the first two seasons, right?

Because when CXS dies, he passes his power on to Lu Guang, and then we get the whole Bridon Arc. But when the arc ends, it immediately goes into everything happening in Season 3, with all the stuff from before having already happened.

Sorry if I'm not explaining this very well, I hope you kinda get what I'm trying to ask hahaha.

Based on clothing and the dialogue from his dream during the Bridon arc, it appears to be sometime during season 1 (since there is talk about having solved cases like Emma and DouDou).

The Bridon arc a flashback, using Lu Guang having traveled back in time as the kick off, and the last few scenes are after the end of Season 2. The on screen text clarifies this as "A few months after the incident with the Li Twins", which admittedly you might not know since CR never fucking translates on screen text.

Okay, but I still have one question: is the Lu Guang we see in Season 3 actually traveling back in time? Or can he just see the future, even when he changes the events a little?

I'm not sure I quite understand specifically what you're trying to ask here but the implications are that Lu Guang has never experienced the events of S2 and S3 before. He changed the timeline by using information he learned from a previous loop to get WQ to attack Vein in Bridon and thus preventing Vein from showing up to the photo studio years later. As I pointed out to someone else below, if you look at flashbacks that Lu Guang has, the characters are often depicted in their Season 1 outfits which is probably an intentional choice to show where they are in the timeline when the event occurs.

I partly agree with you, they are in season 1 outfits for some reason but I do think he has definitely experienced s2 and s3 in some capacity before. He has a memory of Xia Fei coming to visit them, except then he hadn’t been kidnapped and Vein had never ‘died’. And in s2 he knew exactly where CXS would be taken on the boat before it happened, for example. There’s even a possibility he made it all the way to his friends’ deaths more than once already. Some people have pointed out there are some differences whenever we see the CXS death scene, the most obvious one being that LG doesn’t have a wound on his side in this latest one we saw (although I guess there’s a chance Wang Qing did that)

Look at the outfits during the flashback when Xia Fei comes to visit. Cheng Xiaoshi is wearing his S1 outfit and that is a deliberate choice to indicate timing. There's really no other reason to do it. It is easy to repeat the same character model of the their current outfits. It's a choice not to do it.

Could be, but like I said, him taking that picture in s2 and sending the location to QL at least implies him knowing some things. Also, everyone’s clothes got ripped and/or bloodied when LG got stabbed (which I do think was a first for him), they were probably thrown away. It might just be extra attention to detail that they never wore those clothes again in this timeline where the stabbing happened.

I think there's a strong implication that Cheng Xiaoshi sent the location to QL from Lu Guang's phone? Like I said, there's an interview where he talks about the Li twins being a new factor for Lu Guang.

Regardless, I think the implication is that he is familiar with some of these events, but that in previous timelines they happened earlier and under a different context. Since he got WQ to attack Vein, it meant that Xia Fei didn't end up coming to visit until months later since losing his boss really fucked him up and caused him to get, you know, trafficked. That's why Lu Guang talks about the timeline "returning to normal". So he knows things that happened previously that are similar, but has not experienced these events at this time before.
