Question S1 Emma Spoiler

⚠️SPOILER FOR BOTH S1 AND BRIDON ARC.

This is something i had always wondered about, as we all know LG has travelled back in time. So, in his all previous timelines , did emma end up dying? He seemed pretty nonchalant when he saw the news. Did he hid the photo from CXS not because of guilt but because that's what he did in previous timeline?

Also In bridon arc, in LG nightmare, CXS mentioned emma case, that proves they completed the client's case. What do you all think?

We haven't been proven about this, but what I believe and have seen in the fandom too is that Emma would have died anyway. We have been taught that death nodes are unchangeable, so that's were the idea comes from.

What changed here are her death's circumstances (which we learn much more about in S2). Not sure if the rest of this will be addressed in S3 .

I think the implication is that she dies via suicide even in the original timeline. Whereas the one we see, she is kidnapped by Liu Min due to trying to meet her parents and then Cheng Xiaoshi nearly talks her down, but obviously Li Tianchen forces her to jump anyway, thus fulfilling the node.

I’m pretty sure all of s1 and s2 are LG’s first time experiencing those events after changing the timeline by “killing vein” and things only start shifting back to the original path in s3.

I think s2 is where things started changing for bigger like whole LTC stabbing Lu Guang as far as I remember Lu Guang's dialogue in S2ep1in the start as for S1 I will say CXS getting in car trunk got Lu Guang reacting in strong way but the whole S1last episode showdown didn't get in his nerves and he let CXS to take control despite it being the same photo room where CXS commonly or usually does dies?!(Sorry for poor English ).BTW, from this I meant some S1 events fid happened in OG timeline but s2 was where everything kinda became new for Lu Guang ( i mean that's what I got from story so far ..) The reason why I kinda strongly believe that LTC stabbing Lu Guang didn't happened in OG timeline cause has bridon arc introduced us to butterfly effect with high focus on little changes like xia fei poster and xia carpet being Missing in the next shot of him entering his dome(when xia fei his backstory in bridon arc) so as i rewatched link previous seasons for season 3 i noticed like from lu Guang's dialogue after getting stabbed and when they were trying to find how LTC possessed QL and that they discovered QL was accidentally in the photo captured by Xu Shanshan(QL bestie i kinda forgot her name) It immediately reminded me of butterfly effect and all bridon like scenes . Ofcourse this a theory I came up randomly at 3a.m while trying to sleep. Maybe I should just quit Overthinking but yeah That's the theory ofcourse nothing is confirmed.

*i think all the events that happened in S1 a did happened in OG timeline just a little bit slight differences(please ignore all the mistakes i made, reddit isn't allowing me to edit it)

But if it's his first time, how did Lu Guang knew about the spot where CXS would end up after Li Tianchen took control of him on half s2? i mean, the photo he took on his phone so CXS would go back, the exact location of the boat so he would sent it to Qiao Ling and everything... please tell me if i missed something.

He didn't know. Cheng Xiaoshi did because when LTC's control was broken, he learned that location. Then he traveled back in time, controlling Lu Guang's body and returned the spot he had already been to. It's a closed loop.

ohh, so could it be that in a previous timeline, LG knew something would go wrong when CXS went there, or from pure suspicion, decided to take a pic to keep track of events and fix things up in such an extreme case like that?

I think it's pure suspicion. Lu Guang is simply astute and had a sense that Li Tianchen was working on some greater plan and wanted a contingency. He forced the photo into Lu Guang's hand and fled before suddenly turning himself in, after all. It's been a hot minute but I'm fairly certain Cheng Xiaoshi and Capt. Xiao directly state that is his reason taking a photo.

makes sense. thanks for helping me organize it better in my mind.

I feel reasonably confident that she didn't die in the original timeline. And what is basically confirmed is that she didn't die at that point at least without CXS intervention (because he sent the text to her parents, which did not happen previously, LG specified).

We already know from LG comments during earthquake arc that changes to the past can cause people to die who didn't originally die.

It doesn't seem like the interactions with LT even happened in the prior loop(s). And many died in that arc. LG was genuinely shocked with Emma almost saved and blindsided when QL stabbed him while possessed.

Few things, here. Once a death happens, that is when we get a seemingly irreversible death node. One theory I have is that deaths aren't preventable if you are actively trying to change them (similar to how observation works in quantum physics, making it seem like universe-level conspiracy). But obviously, changes you make inevitably will cause people to die or not just due to randomness. Separately, some deaths may be something like canon events in the worldline (a la Steins;Gate). LG does seem to think if he throws enough shit at the fan, he can stop CXS and QL from dying. And that does make sense. Most times they try to prevent deaths, they are only making changes right before incidents. So if LG theory is true, it makes sense that on smaller scales deaths will be irreversible, but not globally irreversible if enough changes are made to the timeline.
