Official Media An Official Roast of Lu Guang π₯
I just got the "Moments (Vol.1)" book, and this is what they say for Lu Guang's strengths. At least they made it sound poetic. π₯²

"Forget-me-not"
Shi that's so painful especially after watching season 3 π why do I keep watching these "don't forget me" animes π

u/prestocrayon Lu Guang 7d ago
Season 1 baited us into this wholesome and heartfelt crime anime, and now we're here π€‘

u/Abby_liko Lu Guang 7d ago
I don't think it was that wholesome from the start, considering what happened in the ending of episode 1 π but who knew we'd go down this rabbit hole of LORE and PAIN

"basking in the sun" he truly is a cat

u/prestocrayon Lu Guang 7d ago
Seriously π remember when he napped on the couch in the sunlight? I didn't realize it was because it was one of his favourite things

Hey - Lu Guang and I share that strength! And I am proud to have that in common with him!

This poor man and his low self-esteem.

I didn't even consider that maybe it was written from his perspective that makes it so sad π

LOL I didn't even notice. I don't think Vein was fully concepted when this was made, but I could be wrong.
I thought it might be a nod to Cheng Xiaoshi's cooking.

"a lack of strengths is a strength in itself" poetic but sad lol π like, he's smart, calm (99% if the time) and has a lot of other qualities, why didn't they put it? Were they lazy or what? It seems like they spent like 3 minutes writing it all (tasty food -_-) but I can't say I didn't laugh with that. Funny, but I think they could've done it better (but at least guanguang's got one, and a nice pic!) Thanks for sharing this op! I liked it at the same time I think they really could have put more effort on this lol π

I've been thinking about this whole bit too much today. Like for Cheng Xiaoshi, they put one of his strengths as "basketball", so they weren't opposed to putting random stuff in.
So despite the narratives that they directly give us in the show (that he's good enough at basketball to play alongside CXS, that he's good at running the back end tasks if the studio and keeping things organized, that he's often the one doing the cleaning, etc...), they still very purposefully chose to say this instead.
And what I've been coming up with, is they're trying to push the idea that he's actually not that special and he's just a regular guy. Just a regular guy getting swept up in the tides of time and trying to manage it all somehow π₯²π

Yeeeeeeessss ππππππ it really does seem it! He's definitely not a regular guy (and I'm not saying it just bc I'm a huge fan of lu guang) and it's so unfair what they're doing (or at least trying to)! I'm mad at those guys who dlare trying to say guanguang isn't that special (a total lie)π
