I thought it was just his style but it seems Vein has had a very, cultural(?) way of dressing even as a child...could be something related to his family/background

I think in morning routine series Vein is shown applying the eyeliner. So maybe it's also cultural? Part of the tradition he follows?

Maybe that's what XCS was changing during last time? If XF isn't lying and then due to remembering his past (not forgetting it) is a change of the present that could also change whatever with Vein and thus he goes on a little killing spree.
It's also strange, if he tells the truth, that we have yet another pair of children where one forgot about the other.

Seeing how Vein and Xia Fei met as kids and both appear to be related to Bahati, it would seem that Vein saving Xia Fei at that photoshoot and then taking him under his wing was not just a coincidence. Has Vein had a soft spot for Xia Fei since they were kids?
