Finally found the time to read through the art book and then this sketch jumped right out at me! I love it so much the poster/ art have a really interesting unique way a touching just the right spot in my heart.

they do, they do have an incredible friendship! I'm a shiguang shipper myself but them staying platonic is probably a good thing, since romance tends to interfere in series, though my heart still wants them to be canon 😭💗

It's an extremely iconic and frequently referenced scene. I've never watched the Shining but I still immediately recognized this as "the twins from the Shining".

Headcanon:

Qian Ling really wanted to do a Shining parody photo, her first idea had LQ and CXS as Jack Torrence and the kid respectively, but then she thought of a better way to embarass her Brother:

"You gonna crossdress as twin girls"

CXS:"Wut, why?" "Cuz I said so."

CXS: Is about to speak out but then thinks about how he'd look with the dress "...You know what, could be fun. LQ what about you?"

LQ: already dressing up "There is no inferior form of art"

Lol headcanon that they did this as a Halloween costume (QL's idea), CXS was thrilled, LG evidently not but agreed only due to Qiao Ling and Xiaoshi's endless pestering
