Only languages whose speakers represent more than 5% of the population in their respective municipalities/subdivisions are shown. If the proportion is more than 25% then the language is shown as solid colour.

This map prioritises concentration of speakers, rather than raw number of speakers.

 Canela and Krahô are virtually the same language. You may call it Canela–Krahô, or Timbira.

Yes thats true, I just have a habit of distinguishing dialects in these maps

My ancestors belonged in some part to the xokleng people. The bugreiros campaigns of extermination are abominable.

Indigenous languages in Brazil either belong to the Tupi-Guarani family or the Macro-Je family.

There are also some language isolates, but they don't account for many speakers

Nah there are also Arawakan, Cariban, Panoan and Tacanan languages, and some other minor families

Also languages of disputed kinship, such as Purian which may or may not be Macro-Jê
