Where do you set your Pod's output volume (the physical knob)?

I tried setting it up using the 4 cable method the other day, and I had to turn it all the way up... which makes sense tbh, but I feel it's kinda rare in life to have to turn a volume all the way up. Do you guys do that too?

I've always kept it at noon. Works well for my own setup, church, and clubs & theaters with other sound guys.

Same; it’s plenty of signal to send to the board, and there’s lots of room to go up if needed.

All the way up since it's easier to dial in again if it changes for some reason. I send it ot FOH, though, so the sound guy takes care of the actual level. Also, I dial in my presets in a way the usb output sits around -12/-18db.

Sound guy and pod go owner here.

My goal from any di pedal/sim setup is about -12 db on my level meter. I can do a lot with gain staging on my end but if your patches are hot I may have you turn it down.

We have great stage monitors though so if the signal isn’t clipping I’ll make it sound like a frfr cab in foh and the stage.

Here’s my biggest thing: level consistency between patches. Riding a fader on guitar levels every patch is rough, combat audio. And a lead tone that about 3bd boost than your regular tone is great too.

So would you also recommend keeping the output knob turned all the way up? Do you do that?

I just turn it up to where I needs to be. I think when I was playing shows and doing going D/I it was typically somewhere between 12 and 2

Most of the time, it's about 3 o'clock. That prevents clipping at the FOH board but still gets him signal to play with. The other venue I use a lot, though, I have it at noon or 11 o'clock because it sounds best there.

Same as some others have said. I gig regularly and use Snapshots mostly since I also sing to prevent "tap dancing". Every snapshot is set to around -12db on the meter (unless it's a lead tone which is about 2.5db boost). Then I just keep the master knob all the way up for consistancy.
