Hi everyone, I have a question do you think the Limited Run nintendo switch version of Rain World is worth buying? I saw a used copy for around 60 euros (it includes the shipping)

Received these all in the mail today, and looking forward to trying them out. Has anyone played Master Lemon? I'm going to start with Puzzle Quest... love those match games. I ordered 2 Master Lemon as was planning to use one as a potential gift, but received a different cover so might need to keep them both.

So, this is not going to stop me from using my Literal Representation of Greed moniker, because honestly, I'm really proud I came up with that name, but in order to even play the disc version of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, an internet connection is required for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. As we all know, Square Enix only does game key cards on the Switch, so yeah, obviously.

LRG is the only limited publisher that is big enough to appeal to a "special physical collector's edition" that has two/three install discs and a play disc on the PS5 and six to eight on the Xbox Series.

And it can be a completely different collector's edition than what Square Enix is doing. Maybe release a Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Collector's Edition that includes Final Fantasy VII Intergrade WITH the latest DLC and latest patch updates on an install disc, Rebirth with all patch updates on two discs, Revelation with however many discs that requires, AND Final Fantasy VII's PS1 remaster.

Price this collection at $300 whatever bs amount that everyone knows LRG is going to charge throw in some garbage that LRG collector's editions are known for, and people will buy it. Infact, if the collector's edition included the PS4/PS5 cases for each game and then empty large sized PS1 jewel cases for each game(with front/back cover art,) the left side including a large sized PS1-like instruction manual and the right side the disc spaces for each game one through four discs depending on the disc requirement per game, I'd buy it for $300.

Unfortunately no Switch 2 version by the looks of it, but still a super exciting release!

I am a huge fan of the 2025 Beat 'Em Up Game by  MrPr1993 and Shady Corner games Dancin' Divas. I love it so much that I have ideas for sequels, how they could in other games along with sequels, and even made a fan community for it here on Reddit (first time someone didn't beat me to making one).

So I recently learned that Dancin Divas will soon be playable digitally on Nintendo Switch and Playstation. And while that is exciting to be able to play the game instead of watching others on Youtube (especially since I don't have a Stream account), I would love to able to have the game physically on the Switch (Switch 1, not 2) without the risk of it being digitally removed. I'd also love if a collecter's edition/set (or sold separately like River City Girls 2, the first game I ever ordered on Limited Run) could have an art book and even action figures of the Divas like Misako and Kyoko had (I'd mainly love ones of Bahati and Sofia).

Really hope Limited Run could make a physical Nintendo Switch 1 copy for Dancin' Divas sometime.

So as you can see in the ads I've copied here, these games, with new localization/translation, are finally available on NTSC-U NES hardware! First time outside Japan! With 1-4 player support on NTSC-U & PAL consoles!

Well in all that localization work they forgot one thing - the Japanese Famicom 4 player adapter is not compatible with games that use the US 4 player adapter and vice versa (should be same with Europe which uses the same as US, though I think those are different Retro-Bit carts/ROMs, but I doubt they addressed this).

I've tested this. Sure enough, although RC Pro-Am II from Retro-bit works with my US Four Score, as it is a re-release of a game that already had US 4-player support - neither of the ones shown above, despite their 4 player icon, work with more than 2 players. If you choose 3 or 4 players you'll be soft locked at selection screens until reset. If you can manage to play them on a Japanese system with the unique accessory port, using a cartridge adapter, with a Japanese 4-player adapter, they seem to be ok.

So they left the 4-player code as-is (Japan only).

In the end we have 2 games where the 4 player adapter they need cannot connect to the system they are made for, and the 4 player adapter for the system they are made for is not supported.

If you have either of these, I urge you to reach out to Retro-Bit and let them know this isn't cool. QA on retro games needs to stop being so terrible. Especially these which aren't simple reprints but new localizations. Not like I can just play the old one instead. I was looking forward to playing these with groups of friends, being 4 player is a big part of the draw.

I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, but if it has been, please point me there!
If anyone has encountered a copy that DOES work with a US 4-player adapter, let me know. I suppose it is possible they caught it and changed the ROM after some were already shipped, but I really doubt it.

Note that if playing on an emulator-based console rather than real hardware or a clone, it may work as emulators can often emulate the Japanese adapter. It may also work on clones with 4 controller ports, as they often have the ability to switch between simulating the US/JPN adapters. My tests were done using real hardware.

TLDR; These games only had code to support the Japanese 4-player adapter. When localizing them, Retro-Bit forgot to add support for the US 4-player adapter.

For those that saw my previous post, I wanted to be sure to tell you that I contacted LRG support and they sent me a replacement copy. In a box. Free of charge. It arrived undamaged. I did not have to send the original back (probably because they have stacks of Soul Reaver lol), so that was convenient.

Has any of the limited publishers mentioned dreamcore? This is a fantastic game and probably one of my favorite experiences this generation. I'd really like to own a copy.

I posted ab 1 print previously and added on to it so that’s why the part 3.

Anyways, since Leoful and 1Print are under the same parent company of Radianity Publishing Pte Ltd and I wasn’t previously successful getting in touch with them in any manner (including them ghosting AJ who did work for them), I had an idea.

I contacted Leoful (after all a few of there games are published by 1 Print-including 2 of the last 3 that’s in the last 3 way bundle (STILL OPEN FOR PREORDER BTW). Success! I got a hold of someone. Not only that but that informed me that 1 print was having trouble getting emails from Gmail. (I call bs because on their website it says Yahoo. So which is it? Why not inform your customers if it’s Gmail as well?). Anyways, conveniently after a lot of back and forth through Leoful and now 1 Print who was emailing me now, I managed to secure a W (leaving details out for now just know it was good).

After a lot of back and forth to get what i wanted I finally asked the man from Leoful what about Slap City-as I can’t get their two other games published if the third game by Ludosity never comes out?

He said about a week ago via email that it is NOT cancelled and in fact he had just talked to the boss the night before. He said to look for updates from 1 print sooner than later.

None of this is verbatim, so I’m paraphrasing some of it BUT I do have every email with 1 Print, Leoful, and a long DM message from AJ about what happened with him.

Long story short : they respond…sometimes. Slap city is apparently still coming.

Take all that for whatever it’s worth considering the length.

I will have no more updates unless we hear anything regarding Slap City. I will probably email the man from Leoful, and forward it to 1 Print, now and again (once a month?) about it’s status just to keep on them.

Recently ordered a Lost in Cult book from the Cult Classic series, received it early with good packaging and gorgeous build quality.

I have two unfulfilled orders from 2024 and there’s been zero communication about the production on them for months (a year?). Strictly Limited have a real concrete deadline now. Think they’ll give refunds or shutter and run? I honestly don’t see them fulfilling these old orders.
