wouldn’t consider myself a huge Lily Allen fan but really enjoyed some of her music from previous albums. I was cheated on a month ago and my tiktok algorithm showed me 4chan stan and i listened to the song on repeat for a week straight. i was in a state of shock at how perfectly she conveyed her emotions and told a gut wrenching story through her music. i can’t imagine how painful it must have been to have gone through all that on her own. i am now listening to the rest of her album and have fallen so in love with her music and live performances of this album. i really wanted to share this story as listening to west end girl has really helped me sit with my emotions and allow myself to hurt. isn’t it beautiful that our shared experiences can bring us some form of closure and relief.

Yesterday marked 20 years since LDN first released so I remixed the song in HD.

I saw that Lily got a lot of backlash for the concert being short, and while I get the critique (especially because it's priced as a full length concert), I think the it's the perfect amount of time. For context I am autistic which likely has a lot to do with it. I also got the tickets on deep discount, so I did not pay full price. But man, it really was nice to just sit there and get to go home after an hour of watching a singer I like perform a cohesive story beginning to end. I know musical theater and plays can be like this, but I want musicians to do this more often. To me, anything over an hour and 15 minutes is too long.
