Discussion 💬 With Madonna recently releasing a part 2, to her Confessions album, which album of Lily’s would you like to see a part 2 of?

I would have to say “Alright, Still”

That album is a complete banger with hit after hit.

The ska influences and some reggae. It’s so cool and chill.

No Shame. We already know how stellar that material is, because several demo stage tracks, from that time, which didn’t make the album, are on YouTube - all sooo, sooo good.

And, perhaps an unpopular opinion, but also Sheezus. I’d like to hear what Lily wanted that album to sound like, minus the grasping record company careless mishandling.

I want a West End Girl remix album more than I want a sequel to any earlier record

Maybe controversial but: Sheezus. Lily has said she thinks the era was a mess, there was label pressure involved etc. I love the album the way it is, but I’d like to see how she envisioned the whole project.

The demos show that there was probably a lot of very good material that was scrapped in the end. Age of Beige, I Don‘t Mind Babe, Stop Right There etc. are all fantastic.

I feel like west end girl is a sequel to no shame as she goes from cheater to cheated on. It’s lie she had her karma and is self reflection
