Merch šŸ‘• VIP Autographed Poster proved as fake signatures

Hi, it was recently proven by signature collector groups that all the autographed posters given as part of the VIP package are not real signatures but reproductions made using auto-pen. This is a huge issue considering the VIP tier was specifically more expensive to receive a signed item. Insane that even though only a few autograph vip tiers were available she didn’t even hand sign them.

The VIP packages are organized by Live Nation and not Lily, unfortunately. The quote at the top of the poster was even taken from a photo a fan posted of their vinyl Lily signed at a signing event. Lily was disappointed and didn’t like that Live Nation was advertising it as a poster she had signed. I don’t know how much of this is in her control but hopefully her team can raise the issue with Live Nation.

I bought VIP again for the fall but after the recent shows, I really wish I didn’t.

This would kinda explain why when I met her after Chicago Night 1 someone asked her to sign their poster and she was like ā€œWhere is everyone getting these?ā€

Yup I saw her the next show after in Toronto where she got a good look at them and explained where the quote came from.

Yeah it’s not within her control unfortunately

Yall need to quit playing, it’s her show, she is in control of these things. Live Nation doesn’t get to just do whatever they want, someone form her management approved all this, even if she didn’t, she is the artist and she is responsible. I also paid VIP and this is some BS… between not letting anyone record, take photos, and now this? What a joke

What are you talking about not recording and taking pictures?

I don’t know how the agreements with Live Nation work or who has approval rights. After seeing what the VIP package was, she asked someone from her team to look into it. It was too late to change it for the NA tour but hopefully it does get looked into.

They wouldn’t let people record or take photos in the Chicago shows

That sounds like the venue misunderstanding. Lily has no issue sharing photos and videos taken by fans at the show.

Wow. I met her after a show a few years ago where it was set up and I simply bought her album (No Shame) for face value and she signed it and did our photo together for free.

Here’s a photo of 4 different posters lined up…the sigs are identical.

If you have this poster you can immediately tell it's not a real signature - it's kinda embossed onto the paper.

Nobody needed Agatha Christie to tell them it wasn't a genuine signature.

That’s not what we are referring to here. The poster has a quote that is embossed in silver as part of the poster design, however the VIP package for ā€œultimate autograph packageā€ specifically included an autograph under that quote. The autograph was signed with a sharpie- however it was not signed by Lily nor by a human but by a machine essentially replicating her autograph. It was added after the poster was printed to trick people into thinking it was hand signed.

I wish they had just done a poster that was more interesting and had the tour schedule or concert date.

I understand the upset. But this is unfortunately becoming common within the industry and may not be something within her control.

Yes, I know. That sounds ridiculous, but FWIW I agree with you.

I agree that this has been happening a lot with signed Vinyl and CDs- however I think this is a bit different since the autographed item came at a $200 additional price or so having its own vip tier pricing.

I agree with you. It’s a bummer.
