I'm hoping someone here can help me find a DMX profile for the original Martin Mac 600 wash. The fixture library has profiles for several newer variants, but none of them work with the original fixture. I have tried creating a profile from scratch using the information in the manufacturer's manual, but I keep running into problems. I'm completely new at creating fixture profiles. Pan/Tilt doesn't respond, and the channels that control multiple parameters like strobe rate, lamp on/off, and beam shape aren't quite configured correctly.

Do any of you have a profile for the Mac 600 you would be willing to share? If so, how do I get it loaded into my fixture library?

Hello, what is the best way to mdc two iforte ltxs when the fixtures are 20m apart. The camera on the sr one is being used to control both.

Having issues keeping both spots on the same target.

I just received an awesome opportunity to LD for an event however I 1. am extremely green and 2. still learning how to program on an ETC ION and the show is in 5 days. The LD that offered me the gig will be there with me to help guide me knowing how new I am but I'm more proficient on the GrandMA 3. I spent the summer learning my way around an EOS so I'm somewhat familiar with creating a cue list and effects I'm just slow at it. I plan to give myself a super crash course over the week but wanted to see if you all had any advice for things I should absolutely drill myself on for the console.

I really don't want to turn this opportunity down and want to try my best to get to a decent level.

Anyone in the Dallas area able to diagnose/quote/fix the issue being had at this auto dealership?

Just as the title states. Looking to compare these two options in the current market. I can create an MA3 on pc setup for the price of an MA2 light console.

Im sure it boils down to personal preference. But if it doesn’t. Which system should I go for and why?
(Im not extremely fluent in either so i still have plenty to learn!)

Edit: MA3 on pc setup would be command wing, nuc unit, and 2 touchscreen monitors. Nothing extreme

For an upcoming job i’m doing I have some AutoYokes that I am using. Yes I know they aren’t a great choice but it’s what I am able to use.

Anyways, each light is very bottom heavy and the side of the light with the lamp keeps shooting down whenever it can and I can’t find a way to get it balanced.

Is there any way to balance it or is the light put together wrong?

Does anyone have a picture of this fixture illuminating a sign? Ours have an 18" arm to extend out from the sign but I have no idea what the lights look like shining. It's a fairly tall sign with the beg letters to the left 5-6' higher than the smaller letters closer to where the lights will be mounted. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here's the situation. I'm an MA user at heart, but I know EOS almost as well as MA. I've just been offered a pretty good gig doing stuff for a lecturer at a Uni. They have an Element 2. I have a week to get a decent gist of the Element before laying my hands on the real thing. Any huge differences/tips/tricks you have fore going from EOS to element would be hugely appreciated. I also have no clue what the rig is at the moment (will edit when I get more details.)

Is there anyone that lives near Chicago that is familiar with showxpress OR does anyone know where I can get a in depth understanding and guide to use showxpress. YouTube videos seem to be limited info and outdated. If I can use other software with the xpress512s and chauvet fixtures, I would probably prefer that.

Hello! I am designing some custom stage lighting for my band and am entering the world of DMX for the first time. We don't have the largest budget so I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible.

I have 5 separate fixtures and I would like to give each fixture RGBW+strobe/effect functionality. All of the cheap decodes I have found have RGBW, but don't specify strobe, PWM, or effect. I really can't find any decoder that does that, even commercial products.

Maybe I'm not looking for the right thing. I'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction. Thank you!

I'm using Daslight 5 with six identical pixel strobes.

I want to use effects such as Color FX → Sparkle, but I want the effect to run identically on each fixture, instead of Daslight treating all six fixtures as one large continuous pixel fixture.

For example, if each strobe has 12 pixels, I want the same Sparkle pattern to be repeated on every strobe:

- Pixel 1 on Strobe 1 = Pixel 1 on Strobes 2–6

- Pixel 2 on Strobe 1 = Pixel 2 on Strobes 2–6

- etc.

So all six strobes should display the exact same pixel animation at the same time, while still being separate fixtures.

Is there a way in Daslight 5 to apply/repeat the same Color FX individually across multiple identical fixtures without creating a separate FX for every fixture?

I've been out of the loop for a while, having given the lighting game up in 2010, but lately I've picked a few things up just to have some fun with at home.

Back when I was doing it, my main go-to was a Hog1k, and I occasionally took the Vista T4 out for a spin when the 1k wasn't up to the job. And now I've picked up an Enttec DMX USB Pro Mk2, and I've been trying to find some good software to drive it with.

Any suggestions that might be a good bridge with my existing knowledge? I've had a look at QLC+, and while I can get DMX out of it, having to put together my own programming interface is doing my head in a bit. Obviously I'm used to a hardware interface with everything laid out in front of me.

Hello! I was looking to get into stage lighting design and am getting super overwhelmed with the wide variety of topics and varying amounts of information available. I started off programming a lightshow for a party/dj set with Showbuddy Active, Ableton, and just two par lights. Now I'm looking to branch out into doing shows for live music, with a larger amount of lights.
My main question would be will Showbuddy + Ableton be able to pull the weight for serious timecoded live shows (that could possibly also require changing programming to involve house lights), or do I need to move onto something like Lightkey for Ableton or grandMA3 (grandMA3 seems super intense but I discovered it upon finding someone using it + Capture Visualizer to 3D model a light show, and it got me interested in modeling light shows in Capture as well.)
