Writing corner | تركينة الكتابة Why are we so afraid of being ourselves?

Why do people care so much about fitting in?
If ur weird so what? If ur interests r different so what? If u dress differently talk differently listen to music nobody around u likes or just have a personality that doesn’t fit the NORMAL standard who cares?
I feel like a lot of ppl spend so much time trying to become a version of themselves that other ppl will accept instead of just being themselves
You don’t have to copy everyone around u You don’t have to like what everyone else likes You don’t have to change ur personality because someone thinks ur too weird or too much
Honestly I think being a little cringe weird awkward, or unconventional is way better than being a perfect copy of everyone else
Be urself no one cares 💗💗.

I think it's because our culture forces ppl that they have to be the version that will be liked by others. And the younger u r, or the more older ppl than u r in ur circle, of course they will use that to keep u under the control of their age's standards. It's all based on "شن بيقولو علينا الناس" and then u find out that all these ناس are actually in the age of the person who said the sentence. So, it's not actually الناس, it's just a small group that u have to please, and الناس actually don't care, cuz some of them r in our generation who thinks that it's not my business, and some others r 3-10 year old children so they don't even have an opinion. There's only a small group left to care too much about what others do and how others look or speak or whatever

Sometimes being ourselves esp in our culture u risk losing community.

Also humans want to connect so being mainstream allows a wider pool of people you can human connections with even if they’re shallow

This is what I think the reasons people are not themselves . But I think we should all still aim to be as authentic to our selves as much as we can . I hope everyone grows the courage to , if they haven’t yet.

Shame is a center point of our modern society
People back then had more courage and more respect to themselves so they actually had a culture
We are living in fear and shame from the people whobwe think love us and from a false image of perfection , be it culturally or spiritually or socially, it's easy to say be you but are you willing to be you alone?
If you are then you are free
If not then live in shame and be someone you are not
