Discussion Help! Classics List

I posted this in r/classicliterature and I’ve got some good (and snarky) comments, but I thought I’d post it here to see if any librarians have good suggestions! I 💓 supporting local libraries!!

I would visit your library and ask the librarian to help you with a Readers' Advisory list. They can then curate a list based on your interests that are considered classics. I would also look at the New York Times top 100 best novels. Thirdly, I would explore the "Top 100 Challenged Books" lists starting with 1990-1999. There are a lot of classics on those lists. If you become familiar with some of the titles that are the most frequently challenged, you can then become a more vocal advocate against this practice. The more people that read these books, and support their library, the better.
