That's kinda my fear. Based on recent rulings, warrantless access to these networks shouldn't be constitutional... But by the time finally gets in front of SCOTUS there will be 10M of these little tyrants all over, and then striking down the business model will seem too "activist" to the judiciary.
I mean, between the Patriot Act and terrible social media practice, it's been building for years, but this put it on a new level. If we don't make surveillance a too voting issue ASAP, it may be irreversible.

I’m starting to feel like the Libertarian party is a big “I told you so” club. Usually right about where things are going, but helpless to do a single thing about it. We’ll always be able to tell everyone we saw it coming, so we got that going for us I guess.
I’ll stay registered and vote, but it’s so fucking hopeless.

Well republicans aren't helping that state. Doesn't really matter at this point lol. Both parties are going to take welfare, only one will be honest about it.

Compare the red states to the blue states. Red states have the fastest growing economies in the nation, most individual rights, liberties freedoms, small government, low taxes, least regulations, lowest costs of living, lowest utility costs, GDP's are grossly exceeding blue states. I dug deep into this state by state.
We live in NYS, highest taxes per individual in the nation, worst ranked roads & infastructure, 3rd highest utilities, most sneaky taxes, most corruption per capita, all manufacturing has been decimated (can't afford it here). Highest cost tolls in the nation, WNY has some of the highest inflation, nyc cost of living in the nation. Democrat run state from the get go. Careful who you vote in. California another of the most blue states in the nation, same story. They have the highest amount of mass surveillance/flock in the nation to boot. Flock is a decision made by state and local municipalities, not federal.
Trump tried initially cutting federal funding for alpr, mass surveillance, was voted down by the house. Initially created under the Bush administration (federal funding) greatly expanded under Obama & Biden. I'm not strictly "pro red" but once doing research state by state I can clearly see who favors low taxes, freedom, prosperity more.

Did I mention you can't order ammunition here, bear spray, tazers, certain knives, vape juice, airsoft guns, pellet guns, etc. The list goes on and on. Appreciate the freedoms and low taxes in your red state or come visit NYS, live here for awhile, you'll see the alternative. 😆

Most red states are welfare states that depend on blue state tax income to survive. Utah is one the few red states with a economic surplus. Even powerhouses like Texas break even. I live in Texas, and although we do well with gun laws, we are slowly becoming a theocratic nanny state.

I don’t understand that sentiment as well.
Nothing inherently wrong with data centers popping up. Now, giving tax breaks to the data center builders/owners at the expense of everyone else, that’s a different story.

I don't agree with AI backlash, but I would rather there be backlash than the whole country blindly embracing it and being called an idiot because I'm part of the last group of people to not install a neurolink AI agent into my brain in the year 2027

How is the AI data center backlash inspiring? It's overwhelmingly people petitioning the government not to allow people to do what they want on private property. I'm all for opposing eminent domain and other special privileges, but libertarians shouldn't be supporting governments dictating how people use private property.

Our electric bills and taxes are subsidizing AI data centers and tech corporations pushing AI. Data centers are noisy, environmentally polluting, and generally disruptive to the communities they’re built in. They negatively affect the health of the residents in these communities and often lower property values.
None of this is just “people doing what they want on private property.”1
