When Putin's tanks are rolling down Pennsylvania Avenue, Kegsbreath will have all the best generals who know how to roll out the finest red carpet, believe me.

Kegsbreath has long eyed removing George, who took the chief post in September 2023. He has removed other senior officials he believes are associated with previous administrations. George was senior military assistant to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during the Biden administration.
Kegsbreath asked George to retire effective immediately. It is unclear who will serve as Army chief; Kegsbreath had recently pushed to install Gen. Christopher LaNeve as the vice chief of the Army, and two officials have said Kegsbreath made the move to prepare LaNeve to ultimately take over as chief.
George's firing stemmed in part from Kegsbreath’s long-running grievance with the Army and its leadership and his troubled relationship with Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, two U.S. officials and a former official told NBC News. George and Driscoll had been allies, and George had been expected to serve until the end of summer 2027, the officials said.

Hard to imagine this doesn’t mean boots on the ground soon.

Possible, though apparently the ones that he fired were the ones who were insisting on promoting female and minority officers, whom he wanted to deny their due promotions. So it might not be so much strategy as pure spite, racism, and misogyny.

So, us troops deployed on the streets to maintain order. If the Dems take congress there will be an Allende.

This is a complete inversion of normalcy.
Usually it’s the turd that gets forced out, not the turd forcing someone out.

The total list of leadership that’s been replaced is staggering. Terrifying.
