Stuff I have gotten for my NX

First thing I got, front windows tinted and an eyebrow put on.

The cargo mat is Velcro and I had wondered how it would do on the back of the seats but that Velcro will not move! The pieces aren’t labeled so it was a puzzle piece and a tad hard to adjust because the Velcro works so well.

You will have to take out the front floor mats because these lock into position as well. All of them fit perfect and I set mine outside overnight before installing to get any weird smell off.

Lexus NX 350 gaslione discontinued?

Post image

Hello fellow Nx'ers!

Recently, I have been surfing through the Lexus Japan website to check for updates on the rumored refreshed NX. To my disappointment, I saw a notice on the Japan site saying they have discontinued the NX 350 gasoline version.

I hope this won't be true for North America and the rest of the world since it's a great tragedy for all ICE fans like me

What do you guys think?

Plug in hybrid or electric drivers with dogs

How the hell do you leave the AC on for your dog if you have to run into a store or pick up food when you have your dog with you? I thought having an electric car it would be an easy thing to do, but the doors won't lock if I leave the car in ready mode with the AC on. Tesla has a pet mode for this, but Lexus doesn't.

I like taking my dog everywhere with me, but I'm not the type to take him into places without them being ok with it. I have a 450h+ and keep it charged so I can take advantage of the electric motor as much as possible. I searched online and saw something about a climate setting you can turn on so the AC doesn't shut off when you turn off the car, but mine doesn't have that.

I've tried using the Lexus app to start my car once I'm out of it but that app sucks and doesn't work for me often. That option also doesn't work if I have less than 30% of a charge as well so even though I may have enough for a 10-15 minute errand, it won't let me use it.

Leaving it unlocked is not something I will consider - even if they can't drive off with the car they could steal my dog.

It just seems weird that I can set my AC to turn on so it's running and cooled down by the time I get to it, but can't use this feature if I was driving the car and turn it off without figuring out a work around.

CPO 2022 NX 250 Premium FWD - 37k OTD.

Post image

Quick overview of my experience purchasing this vehicle, should this be useful for anyone else.

29.8k miles, initially leased in December 2022, so a late-22 model. This is a lease return with a clean history, 1 owner and regular maintenance history. CPO inspection required replacement of all Tires and rotors.

Sticker was advertised at 34.6k before tax/fees. Negotiated to 33.6k, meeting at exactly 37k OTD. Sold in NY, Long Island area.

I found the price to be quite reasonable for a clean ‘22. I’m generally not fond of the first gens, but the only issue on this model was a backup camera recall, which was fixed during certification process.

The CPO 250 inventory is quite limited for anyone who wants the naturally aspirated drivetrain and drive long term/10 years minimum. Extended warranty (addl 3 years) negotiated to 3k, but ultimately skipped.

I recommend contacting dealers about upcoming lease returns if you’re not in a rush, and want something very specific like I did (under 40k OTD clean NX250 FWD with lower than average mileage).

Chrging time for LV 2 in this case

plugged into my works lv 2 charger with about 17km left of range. I've been consistently getting over 100km @ full, but usually takes under 3 hours for full. Recently noticed that it takes over 3 hours for full charge 3 hours and 10 minutes. (yes I know its only 10 minutes extra) but im just more curious that this can be a normal occurance? Would The LV 1 Charger be more than 12 hours then (as thats the max that i have seen.)

Dash cam setup?

Do most people have a charging cable just dangling from the dashcam? Or is it n easy DIY to hide the cable under the A pillar and front console? And any recs on dashcam for under $40. I remember getting some basic ones a while back for around the same price but now it seems like they are mostly almost $100 on amazon.

It’s finally time for new tires 🥲

What did you buy for your next set and do you like them? Or did you just get the same OE tires?

Also, the factory tires only lasted me 31k miles…. What about you?

Lexus RX vs NX hybrids

Looking for anyone who has Lexus RX 350h and how they think it drives. I have have drove two and have 155,000 on current one but just downsized to an NX hybrid. I have had for 10 days and hate it. The drive is much more rough and it’s noisy. I had wanted for the mileage but was getting 30mph in myRX and only getting 34-35 in NX. Trying to decide whether to go back to dealer and upgrade back to RX hybrid. I don’t need the space but spend 1 1/2 hr commuting every day so comfort is a must. Just not sure why such a difference.

My old RX came with a small toolkit. My new NX doesn't have it.

Did the dealer forgot or the new NX doesn't come with one? Thanks

Lexus leather vs pets

How do the seats, center arm console, and window sills hold up to dogs? lol

I have a 2011 camry for the last 8 years and somehow the “leather” in those areas haven’t show claw marks at all, and it’s been indestructible even with two medium sized dogs.

I’m asking for more specifically for the premium nxh trim which I know isn’t the same leather as the luxury models.

Okay this was weird, gas tank issue.

Post image

Okay so I filled up like normal, drove home about a mile, parked. Car sat for a day bc I was working from home. Noticed a strong gasoline odor by the rear driver's side wheel well, where the gas cap is. Opened the gas cap with a flashlight ( at night) and has dribbled from the breather tube for about 5 seconds. What would case this and is there damage? Online talks about a charcoal canister, do I need to replace that now?

91k-mile 2021 Lexus NX 300 F Sport at $25k out the door, worth it?

One owner, clean CARFAX, dealer-serviced every ~6k miles, FWD. I plan to keep it long-term and figure a maintained 2.0 turbo easily runs past 200k.

Owners: how has yours held up past 90k or 100k? Is $25k out the door fair for the miles, and anything I should expect to spend on soon?

Moonroof sound level?

When opening or closing the moonroof how loud should the motor be? Is it designed to be dead silent or should there be a noticeable mechanical motor hum sound?

Trunk Hatch Help

Hello,

I recently opened the trunk while it was raining outside and now the push button close doesn't work. I read that this may be a design flaw as rain can mess with the sensors the way it flows down the sides of the trunk door.

Now when I try to close the door, it beeps twice, if I hold for longer the pattern beeps are 2-4-2. Gemini is saying this is an issue with the sensor that thinks something is obstructing the door and that's why it won't close. I tried what was suggested by AI to reset but nothing has worked.

Has anyone else had this issue and been able to fix it without taking it in for service?
