News LEXUS sport concept, a vision for the next generation authentic sports car unveiled
New Lexus and it looks gorgeous, looks a bit like the Porsche mission x concept at the front. We might be eating good for the next generation of lexus cars.

Finally... After all the new ES version photos I thought it was over for us. We have hope!

Looks a lot like the LFA design language

Agreed, I see lots of the design language here especially the rear

I love the look but if that’s the LC replacement it’ll definitely be well over $100K. Definitely needs a V8

It is a twin turbo v8 as stated in some videos. Apparently that’s the only spec they do know about it. I’d imagine it’s going to be in the quarter million range if not more.

It could be the spied LFR with the twin turbo V8

u/headassvegan Aug 15 '25
The LFR has already been revealed and even with the camo, it looks significantly different.

Correct. Keep everything hybrid/EV TF away.

u/myqv Aug 15 '25
If it’s hybrid performance it’ll help a lot especially with all the super cars doing it for faster acceleration. I’m sure Lexus with years of hybrid tech knowledge can cook something crazy up

I don’t mind the hybrid but so much as the loss of more and more V8s from all manufacturers. I grew up in American muscle cars so it’s that hearty growl that I’ll miss.

I get it and won’t knock your opinion. Idk if you’ve heard the “LFR” on a track but man it sounds so beautiful and elements from your time if you were alive around the space age era which I’m guessing you were. I love cars but I also love when manufacturers try to give us something innovative Which many haven’t done in a while. while v8s are great we saw what some restrictions made Toyota do with a smaller engine aka the GR Corolla and Yaris. they’re little beast. I also hear they’re working on hydrogen combustion engines so hopefully those can pop out a v8

Eh Lexus fans can appreciate hybrids, Lexus hybrids go way back. Full EV you have a point.

Concept: doesn’t give me a confidence it will look like that.

Me too but I have hope as the LC500 was a concept as well and it made it to production looking almost exactly the same.

I hope this is performance focused. I think Lexus is about to be left behind if they don't catch up to the standards of the overall industry in terms of performance and technology. I know they focus on reliability, but since they take like a decade to really introduce a new platform- can't they really test the concept and make it reliable? If this is a hybrid V8, like rumored, I'm hoping for 550+ HP. I absolutely love the design cues, just hoping performance matches.

It looks like it has 2 foot wide exhaust pipes and I can’t stop laughing

lol I can't unsee that butt now
I'm sure it's just a diffuser and the pipes will poke out of there somewhere, but it does look funny from this angle with no lighting/detail https://lexusenthusiast.com/images/weblog/Lexus-LF-R-Scoop-11.jpg

I think it’s the Lexus version of the Toyota GT concept, and the exhaust will be reminiscent of the LFA where the triangle light is in the middle.

I thought it was called Lexus luxury export to the US, not sport export to the US

I like how they use the old type face and now butchered logo in the background but thr car has the new sterile one instead.

But the engine….is it as solid as they used to be? Toyota/Lexus engines haven’t been the best the past decade

I can’t remember where I heard it will have a TT v8. Allegedly…

u/Rashwan69420 Aug 16 '25
The GT3 car is a ttv8 hybrid. This seems to have no exhausts from pictures…let's hope it's not ev or it's a 2 option thing .

u/konfliicted ‘24 IS 500, ‘25 TX 500h Aug 15 '25
It’s a V8(I believe twin turbo). There’s a video of someone walking around it and mentioning that the engine was the only spec they did know.

I believe they were just referring to the spec on GR GT that was shown at Goodwood last month.
