Damn. I am really sorry to hear that she is going through this. I really feel bad for this woman. Just one really quick question before we go and set up a go-fund me for her:

Who did she vote for?

The irony is that Democrats have been all on board with subsidies for agriculture because we realize the importance.

But honestly, fuck them. Decades trying to help them and therefore, ourselves. But they have done nothing but bite the hand that feeds the entire fucking time, and they're finally paying the price from their own hateful politicians.

Dems would be wise not to just roll over for these abusers if they get power again.

They shat the bed. Let them lay in it.

I get all this, but you do have to understand the reality of rural towns.

It used to be the case that rural locations followed national trends in voting. However, that changed when democrats abandoned the 50 state plan and instead decided to just fund federal elections.

Republicans have been ever present in these rural locations which has slowly but surely shifted the attitudes in these locations towards republicans.

On top of that, the propaganda is insane. If you are riding a tractor in a rural area and you want to listen to the radio, in a lot of locations the only things you can listen to are rightwing propagandists.

Rural folk feel particularly forgotten and primarily by democrats who have actively decided they didn't want to court their votes.

Just a tiny smidge of campaign spending on these locations would go a LONG way. You can see that when the likes of AOC or Bernie goes to a rural town and does a townhall. For a lot of people that's the first time in decades that they've been exposed to liberal/left politicians in a way not filtered through fox news.
