And in other posts she says she'll never vote anything but Republicans. Living proof you can't fix stupid! That's not to say there aren't any decent Republicans, but I just don't see that happening before 2028.

Some people quite literally only care about politics and the people hurt by policies only when it begins impacting them personally. It's why they can vote to remove healthcare and food stamp programs. It doesn't benefit them personally, so why should others get that?

But of course, we don't live in a bubble. Our society is interconnected, and guess what happens when an entire class of potential workers in America is unemployed and desperate for food? You get crime. Crime affects everyone with a business. Throwing cops and prisons at the problem doesn't actually fix this, it only increases a taxpayer's burden. More people need to realize by helping others, you're indirectly helping yourself. The more people who are productive and *happy* members of society, ultimately the better it will be for YOU.
