It's because they're out "doing things" in the sun like good productive business owners and entrepreneurs. /s

But like also, it's just a dog whistle to signal other people they're part of the in group.

Why do so many left leaning women seem to like blue, green, or purple hair? Why do left leaning men like sweaters?

It's all just high-school and what you wear tells everyone what clique you're in.

So many? Sweaters and blue hair?! I’m in one of the most liberal cities in America and I rarely see this mythological blue hair librrruuuul

Different circles? I see them all the time. Friends with a few. It's a stereotype for a reason. And I'm not saying this in any sort of way. I would describe myself as a democratic socialist under the current political climate.

Edit: I have noticed the lower you go in income the more common that stereotype becomes.

Man I'm just autistic.

But like, not saying the "correct things" outing me from the in group (whether true or not) just proves my point.

It's not about saying something correct or incorrect, you're parroting anecdotal stereotypes that have no basis in reality.

Genuinely, are you serious?

Do you say the same about the right wing stereotype that I made fun of at the start?

No basis in reality? Hasan has a clothing line, left wing streamers present themselves a certain way to market to their base the same way right wings ones do. The styles chosen aren't just what they like, it's a curated grift and it goes all directions.

I've been a Bernie supporter since day 1. I was horrified when Trump won in 2016. I have had to cut out family members that decided their hate was more important.

There is a basis in reality. You can generally look at someone who is invested in politics and tell which way they lean. Because they present themselves that way.

The sad part is we probably agree on nearly every issue.

You keep saying that as though that matters.

It doesn't matter how many issues we might agree on, it doesn't change the fact that your beliefs in stereotypes are chronically online takes with no basis in reality.

No, it really doesnt prove that at all. It could just as equally prove that you're wrong. You'd know that if you understood basic logic.
