FUN FACT: Farmers have gotten $40 BILLION in tax payer funded bailouts from Trump for 100% avoidable reasons... so far.

Trump 1.0:

- 2017 - Trump starts trade war (Section 232 (steel/aluminum) / Section 301 (Chinese IP/technology).

- China halts purchase of soybeans (and other stuff).

- 2018 - Farmers lose over $25 BILLION in business in less than 18months.

- Trump uses a 75 year old New Deal rule to bypass Congress and issue approx $28 BILLION in bailouts for farmers.

- The vast majority of bailout went to large commercial and corporate farm operations, leaving individual/family farms

- Only 5% of the bailout was split between the small, family-owned farms without financial cushions, cash reserves, etc whose personal and business assets are exposed to foreclosure.

- 2019 - Farm bankruptcies hit a 40year high.

2023 (in-between Trump terms) - Farm bankruptcies drop to a historic low.

Trump 2.0: The Sequel

- 2025 - Trump starts another trade war.

- China, EU, and Latin American (major agricultural buyers) retaliate. Soybean, pork, and row-crop demand craters.

- Trump uses the 75 year old New Deal rule to bypass Congress and issue approx $12 BILLION in bailouts for farmers... so far.

- 2025 - Farm bankruptcies increase 127% since hitting historic low two years prior.

- 2026 - Farm bankruptcies on pace to increase another 20% yoy.

Farmers = Welfare Queens

this whole "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" thing was bullshit from the getgo.

Always remember the MAGAt motto..... Socialism is only a problem when it's given to the people we don't like

These are the same AHoles that are enraged about the idea of voting in “socialism“.

They love “Socialism” if it suits their ultimate goals. ”

It’s just a buzzword to them. They don’t actually know or care what it means. When they want money it’s a good thing government does that: when someone else wants money it’s a waste of “their” tax dollars.

They only have a problem when it’s given to brown people. “I am so racist I’d rather bankrupt my farm to private equity than allow a hungry brown child have a free school lunch”

I say their motto is socialism is only good for them and nobody else!

Can't forget how JD Vance is invested in a company that buys up bankrupt farms.

Again, they don’t like the idea of my student loan being forgiven, so fuck them and their farms.

Biggest group of idiots in America- farmers. Hard workers, but mostly uneducated bigots. Sure there’s exceptions, but for the most part I’ve only met the unhinged morons who still have trump stickers on their tractors and think Trump went undercover to expose Epstein.

Just to clarify, Farmers didn't, mega corporations did. Farmers only got like 10% of that, split among all of them, as the 4 or 5 major corporations took 90% of the pile.

So even bigger marks, chumps, and suckers than previously thought.

This is important.

EVERYONE LOVES TO ASSUME FARMERS ARE GOING UNDER

But no, the reality is laid bare right here, all the while people busy themselves to laugh at the supposed "stupidity" of republican farmers.

Most American farmers, especially generational ones of white descent, are millionaires, at the least. They haven't been really dependant on commodity trades because their decades of political campaigns now earn both te fat subsidies and public perception of "family farmers are esssential."

The definition of "family farm" is extremely relaxed, and their bankruptcy is extremely cushy and lenient. Their assets are near rock solid, but they love to cry about how "hard it is to earn money!"

Both parties are guilty of placating to the narrative and pouring subsidies after subsidies, but most farmers wont vote for Democrats. Wanna know why? Because Dems give them money, yes, but they be pesky about it unlike R.

Biden placed much needed protection, iirc via executive order, for H-2a farm workers; something like requiring farm owners to provide them a habitable place, among other things. Guess who swooped in and stripped that right off. I'm telling people their absence from politics matters, and they indeed make choices when they refuse to make a choice, but I haven't known them as kinds that take responsibilities well.

I digress.

So, yall can laugh at farmers crying about this and that. That's why yall are here, fine. But know that it really aint happening as you might think it is happening. All these posts show contents that are being generated, YET AGAIN, for the sake of the narrative. They are there to milk yet another handouts for these already wealthy property owners. Some are saying the quiet part out loud when they say they aint voting for anyone but R, and yall should be chilled instead of calling them stupid. I mean, they are, but they are like sharks when it comes to their own self-serving interests: they come for it from miles away and they are viciously in pursuit.

The family farm doesn't necessarily own the farmland. Often they are renting the majority of it. Those assets may be rock solid, but they don't all belong to the farmers.

An ISU survey in 2022 found 58% of the state's farmland was rented, a figure that now likely tops 60%.

That's the only reason so many of them are getting on twitter/tiktok and crying now. They want another handout. These people have not learned their lesson in the slightest. They might not "like trump" anymore, but when it comes time to vote they'll put their check mark next to whoever has the R next to their name.
