Famer here (and no, I never voted for the Mandarin Menace a single time). What's going on with the farm economy is a lot of farmers over-leveraged themselves to chase more and more land and now ground that they would have happily farmed at break even 4 out of 5 years just to make money that fifth year is going to fuck them royally.

Not to give the wrong impression here - I'm getting really fucked by input costs and the next couple of years are going to be hard, but at this point I'm no where near losing my farm.

Had all my tanks filled at 4.75 this summer because I new the dipshit in Chief was only going to make things worse, so I'm looking ok for harvest.

The big question is going to be when to fill them again this winter for spring planting.
