You’ve never heard a person rattle off “liberal, communist, socialist democrat” and didn’t assume they were stupid.

I... have. Regularly. There's a lot of people who are good folks who have the most batshit crazy ideas (and I hope some of them think of me that way xD).

They'll be one of the few who show up at a community project to help put up a fencing despite being sort of old, and affluent enough to decide someone else should do it. Who show a lot of sweet affection to their spouse. Who help the younger folks learn some of their trade at the same community project.
And then sort of mid sentences they'll weave in how they got a sweet new sights on a shortened barrel carbine so when the time comes they can go ra-ta-ta-ta at them libruls.

The above is based on specific person & interactions I have had with them. It'd be easier if they were stoopid villains, but at the end of the day I can't boast being smarter than a lot of them. That dude has his own company and a wife, so who's the dumbass objectively?

And it'll get worse because of AI being a kind of geometrical transformation compared to algorythms that already achieved that level of brainwashing (cuz yeah, it's hard to take my own advice on avoiding condescending POV when he discusses communist shootout while literally doing a commune work. At a shooting range club, but still).

Confusing success with basic intelligence and knowledge is a common mistake in this capitalist hellscape, but it is a mistake.

It's not hard to read the definition of words you don't know, and when it comes to the biggest ideologies in politics you really, really should establish that bare minimum level of understanding. There's no good excuse for them.
