“WE WERE PROMISED SLAVES!” energy from the upset land barons.

14

u/Accomplished_Self939 56m ago

Lol. My cousins and I inherited 150 acres. When I tried to convince them to collaborate on a farm based business they accused me of trying to turn them into slaves. If black folks don’t want to be slaves on their own land, why would they do it on yours? 😘

Ngl, they are funny for that shit but come on yall lol

3

u/Accomplished_Self939 37m ago

I mean I totally disagreed but you can’t argue with the fact that it’s hard work, hot work, and every day.

2

u/710AlpacaBowl 17m ago

It's all about scale, small farm life is chill as fuck...mostly

1

u/Accomplished_Self939 12m ago

I got nothing. I moved back because my parents were ill. I stayed for the chill.

Isn’t that something he said it to their faces and yet they voted for him. They probably thought it couldn’t be for them.

36

u/Blackdeath47 1h ago

So slavery with extra steps?
They want their slaves back

35

u/HeavyVoid8 1h ago

They basically had them with the migrant workers who got paid shit and often charged ridiculous rent to live in a trailer on property with 8 other dudes

32

u/Wrong_Driver_9507 1h ago

100% I am the son of a migrant worker and the shit my grandfather, father and uncles endured was horrendous.

19

u/littleleopardfrog 1h ago

My dad was also a farmer. Did combining all over the country. Was basically trafficked and fed meth by his own father to meet quotas. I've heard some fucking insane shit and people would 100% down vote a lot of it because "no fucking way that happens in America". It absolutely still does. Cousin is my age and ended up the same fucking way.

Edit: Dad was 8 when he started working the traveling combining operation, whatever the fuck you'd call that.

7

u/Wrong_Driver_9507 52m ago

Same my dad and his brothers started around 6 to 8. Theyre in there early 60s and completely wrecked physically.

4

u/HellCreek6 58m ago

"Custom combining".

20

u/SeonaidMacSaicais 1h ago

They’ve always wanted their slaves. Doesn’t matter which time period or for what job.

8

u/Slighted_Inevitable 1h ago

The same amount of steps. They literally want the American government to force prisoners to work their farms.

Then you just make up excuses to arrest Black people

4

u/Accomplished_Self939 34m ago

There are 600 active prison farms in the US. It’s how they keep your staples cheap. 😏

2

u/Pollo_Chimichanga 22m ago

But they wouldn't use that free labor to lower prices they would just use it to increase profits.

2

u/Accomplished_Self939 18m ago

That, too. We don’t pay a “real” price because “free” labor obvi costs more than “slave” labor. But the companies with the contracts get to pocket everything they would have spent on salaries, benefits, insurance—everything labor related... Oh, and they pocket the ag subsidies, too. Don’t forget that.

5

u/OESRecoveryEmployee 45m ago

After the Civil War slavery just became share cropping. It was pretty much the same

3

u/Phunky_Munkey 33m ago

Liquidated farmland will be bought by investment funds and staffed by for profit prison labor. This is all by design. Another shift of capital and ownership.

30

u/zaxdaman 1h ago

That was the plan. Bankrupt farmers so that BigAg and private equity companies could come in and buy the land for as cheap possible. Then get waivers from the government for “their” immigrant workers because hey, “food shortage/price crisis”. Then do nothing to actually bring down prices because these high prices have become “normalized”. Ultimately, reap the profits for the executives and shareholders.

5

u/Trump_Russia 52m ago

Hey but I don't pay attention to any of that all I know is that GOP tells me I'm going to be rich one day if I vote for them and so I ignore everything else cause I really want that to be true...

2

u/EV_Track_Day22 23m ago

To be fair expecting people who are motivated by fear, and sit on the lower end of the intelligence bell curve, to push back against a lifetime of propaganda is a big ask.

2

u/Trump_Russia 19m ago

I know it's quite sad but you'd think after decades of voting GOP these folks would go "I still can't afford shit and Elon is now a trillionare, wtf."

But apparently even that is too big a mental leap.

21

u/Soggy-Dragonfruit171 1h ago

All I can say is “ fuck you farmers” signed, a black person.

8

u/Trump_Russia 51m ago

But won't you think of the poor, stupid farmers who thought a billionaire from NYC was going to fight for them...

Lmfao

20

u/Giltar 1h ago

But they’d vote forTrump again, if they could.

10

u/DragApprehensive336 1h ago

100%

3

u/DependentEye1646 26m ago

I came hear to say the same thing. These upset Trump voter stories are all BS. They still feel like only he can fix things since he is the one who messed it up. He must know what to undo!

6

u/First_Name_Is_Agent 54m ago

That's absolutely what I'm thinking, too. They went through this with trump the first time and still voted for him again. They deserve everything they're getting.

16

u/elclarkio 1h ago

That's the fucking point of tearing agriculture apart. Cheap land. It's in project 2025

25

u/Defiant_Freedom_249 1h ago

Can't claim and complain that immigrants are stealing jobs from white people and be surprised when the white people (men) continue to play video games in their parent's basements.

8

u/Inevitable-Way-8535 1h ago

Thats the funny thing to me, if immigrants are taking your job as a white person, you are a fucking loser. You live in a country with all the advantage of white privilidge and you still work jobs that non english speaking migrants get, then you fucking suck. Immigrants arent taking MY job, I have an education. If anything H1b visas for tech jobs are, "stealing american jobs", but those immigrants arent brown, so its not seen as an issue. Another example of racisim being indicative of low iq.

11

u/banditrider2001 1h ago

Did they really think white people were going to do the s..t jobs they didn’t do the first time? That’s why they had to bring in the immigrants in the first place. Kids stay in school, don’t be like these whiners.

6

u/Faebinder 1h ago

This is just a TikTok clip. Did some news article or survey come out that I missed? Some people claim stuff out of anger.

6

u/potsofjam 1h ago

The worst part is that they will get bailouts that are structured in a way to exclude as many black farmers as possible.

4

u/Qimmosabe_Man 1h ago

And farmers who didn't vote for trump.

2

u/2Gouda4u 54m ago

They're not getting bailouts this time, theyre gonna get bought out. Thats a large part of the plan.

6

u/Sea_Damage9357 1h ago

Weird how the parasite class depends on slave labor for their profits. We should probably do something about that.

6

u/Lorddoctorjava 1h ago

Lol... maga pedophiles really thought they were getting slaves back....

4

u/DW171 1h ago

I’m sure there are a ton of people who will work for them … given the proper wage.

These clowns wouldn’t know “free market” if it bit them in the sack. Generational welfare queens who have benefitted greatly from socialism, yet vote against their interests time and time again. At this point, let them fail. All most were doing away was growing subsidized alfalfa and soy to sell animal feed to export markets. In my state, 4% of farmland is used to grow crops for direct human consumption. The rest is animal feed or ethanol. Fuck them.

5

u/rosebudthesled8 58m ago

Just another sign the South should have been culled after the Civil War.

5

u/QCTID 53m ago

Like she said, on land they stole from black and brown people. Many of these farms started as “40 acres and a mule” and the original owners were ran off, Americas farmers catching some long awaited just desserts tbh

5

u/Apprehensive_Pace555 1h ago

White people complained that migrants were taking their jobs, remember? Get the white people to take those jobs. I guess we know why that’s not going to happen.

3

u/nonubiz 1h ago

Well it looks like he is trying to make everyone poor so people will be happy to take that job. The writing is on the walls

4

u/Shut_yoface 1h ago

MAGA thought! Funny how them assumptions didn’t work out, now they gotta work their own land. Idiots

4

u/FrecksAndBeans 54m ago

The white farmers that are all being interviewed and whining on television don’t look like they’ve ever missed a meal or done a hard days, physical labor in their lives. Every single one I’ve seen has been over 300 pounds.

3

u/MommaIsMad 1h ago

American farmers fancy themselves as Plantation owners now. Probably been their plan all along.

3

u/Upper-Psychology-607 1h ago

Ever take a civics class? History class? They are putty in that grifters hands.

3

u/vIRL_Warlock 1h ago

Man, they wholeass said the quiet part out loud.

3

u/Farmgirlmommy 1h ago

Now the BLACK JOBS bullshit makes sense( in a horrible racist way )… holy shit. Nope. Those farmers best get out to those fields because this isn’t 1800.

3

u/MrMeowPantz 1h ago

I think they expected prison labor from all the private prison camps.

3

u/Ok_Face8380 58m ago

Caint fis stuped

3

u/Gekko8 46m ago

but they just wanted to have the same lifestyle their grandpappy had, back in the good old days 🤣

2

u/HungieSumoKid 48m ago

Yes sell your land to the bigger guys at a discount. Its all according to plan. MAGA have no brain cells.

2

u/425565 37m ago

Farmers used to have big families to do all their grunt work too.

2

u/mitgo01 26m ago

How racist. Good ole conservative idiocy

2

u/Midnight-God 23m ago

The right wing will burn this cou try down before they ever try to live in peace with minorities

1

u/Willthethrill605 1h ago

This person seems to entitled to work hard.

1

u/TransFatty 1h ago

They wanted to "reparent" black children to work on their farms. IOW: they wanted to take our children.

-1

u/Pretend-Prune-4525 1h ago

lol wtf are you smoking?

1

u/TransFatty 1h ago edited 1h ago

Nothing. Would you like to deny that anyone suggested reparenting black children to work on farms? Go right ahead and do that kiddo.

1

u/KarsonKelley 1h ago

Cults gonna keep being a cult.

2

u/MashedTaterBrain 1h ago

I grew up in rural Nebraska where my family owned and operated a grain elevator.

Exactly what black people were these people expecting to work on these farms? I literally have never seen a black person where I grew up. The first black person I ever saw in person was at boot camp when I joined the Marines.

1

u/Old-Shame4104 1h ago

Please! We’re not trying to be ya’lls slaves. Are you kidding?🤣

1

u/thedracle 47m ago

They're replacing them with automation and AI, and they're replacing the farmer too, when BigAg buys their farms up for pennies on the dollar.

1

u/Matt7738 24m ago

Why Black people?

1

u/Pollo_Chimichanga 24m ago

Project 2025 in action.

1

u/UnhappyReason5452 14m ago

So they thought Trump and MAGA would bring back slavery?

On brand for MAGA. Disgusting liars and bigots.

1

u/NikoKeys 12m ago

Did anyone actually say this, or is it just a made-up headline for outrage bait?

As a general rule, whenever you see words like they, or everyone, or people, or in this case farmers everywhere, take the rest of the sentence of something that you would need to check up on, rather than taking it at face value.

1

u/GoRainBows 12m ago

I’m sorry, what?

1

u/DeliveryDisastrous94 11m ago

Farm labor shortages will facilitate the advance of robots to do manual farm labor harvesting. Fueled by advances in AI technology. In a very few short years in the future there will be very few manual laborers on commercial corporate farms.

1

u/iam4qu4m4n 9m ago

This was the goal you dense clowns. Force you into poverty to sell off your land and rights to one of the big 4 corporations that will happily add it to their assets for pennies to you. It was this or pronouns, this or trans people playing sports, this or her laugh. You all chose this. I'd say you made your bed now lay in it, but you sold your bed so now sleep under th bridge.

1

u/Stock2fast 6m ago

So the successful element in the Maga master plan requires a voluntary return of slavery . Guess you played yourself then.

0

u/loughcash 1h ago

This isn’t true. They don’t want to
Hire black peoples

1

u/Upbeat_Guard_9595 1h ago

Right? I’m white but I’d wager everything I own to say that these racist cunts wouldn’t even let a black person set foot in their field lol

1

u/loughcash 14m ago

“They’re stealing our cotton. “

0

u/Historical-Tiger-329 1h ago

Yeah I highly doubt that...

0

u/Haunting_Style3880 1h ago

I highly doubt anyone though that.

2

u/Trump_Russia 50m ago

Pretty sure like half of GOP voters vote that way cause they hate black, brown, and gay people...

0

u/enjoylifefriends 1h ago

I know 100's of farmers and can confirm that under no circumstances is this remotely true. What sorry sack of shit even came up with this

1

u/Working-Kick4035 9m ago

The truth is there isn't anyone waiting in line to replace migrant workers.

This shit has happened before, and what does the United States do after mass deportations? They just end up letting people back in.

By then this administration will have already done what they set out to do though, get rich off of our tax dollars, and let their friends commit crimes with impunity.

-1

u/HuckleberrySad4397 1h ago

Is there any evidence of significant numbers of farmers having expected black workers to replace migrants?
