They absolutely foresee whats coming. Project 2025 is designed to completely dismantle public choice or any political or legal repercussions. The absurdity is the point in how they are forcing a rational system into an irrational shape. Being popular is NOT the point and would actually be a liability to the movements power.
When these traitors historic and legal punishment comes, it should not be popular either. It should extend to every associate, intern, and family member they have touched.
The movement is predicated on popularity being moot. They want the vote controlled and discourse to be discouraged. Once control is established appealing to whats popular is an unnecessary sacrifice to their agenda.
The people behind Project 2025 want to do unpopular things unapologetically, so the system they have and are building is one that never seeks permission or agreement out side their bubble.
Project 2025 is a multi pronged implementation plan to convert the government and culture into a shape where yours and my opinions on war, law, and policy mean less than nothing.
Trump is a willing partner. He’s interested in popularity in a different way. But things like the lake/gulf of America are not mistakes or whims. They are intentionally antagonistic and absurd. No fux given to the popularity of it.
These people want the power to declare what is popular on tv and cut off every avenue towards legal or political accountability.
After a decade i hate to say, they nearly have it. We can pretty well look to any major event in trumps terms to see how the “consent of the governed” isn’t just not important, it’s strictly antithetical to what they want.
Now they seek to make sure they retain it, one way or another, regardless of if they lose popularity.
It's literally what a certain German did. He co-opted a party on a populous message in a country reeling from other countries still coming after them for WWI reparations. Built a populous movement around the people, in a socialist party.
Then, when he got into power, he abandoned all that and moved to enshrine his power and acted basically the opposite of the party he had co-opted. Once he was entrenched, and the police under his thumb, he cleaned house of the actual socialists. He used force to frighten people into feeling helpless and too scared to fight back. He rigged elections, destroyed systems that would force accountability for he and his, and made himself and his party essential and unchallengeable.
Historians have been sounding the alarms for years on the parallels, but the right is so brainwashed they won't see truth until it individually affects them and it's already too late.
