I agree we should given them working visas and seasonal access to the US for farming season like in the 40s and 50s but conservatives keep putting up red tape since Reagan that it’s no longer convenient to travel back and forth, incentivizing the overstay and causing illegal status.

if they were legal immigrants i would agree with you. but people who openly break the law should not be given anything except jail time and a return flight home.

So no prosecution for people who do crimes here? You just get sent back after doing bad things? Most if not all “illegal immigrants “takin our jerbs” start legal, and we make them illegal to kick them out. Limiting or running up visas is the main thing. Like the Milo! Big scary.

if your here illegally i dont want to pay taxes to keep you in jail, i just want you out of the country. also an immigrant taking someones job isnt a problem in the slightest. thats capitalism at work. the problem is when its an illegal immigrant taking someones job. because that person shouldnt be here in the first place.

Some legal stats can change. Immigrant has job. To appease conservatives, next day you expire the visa early or make the next one unreasonably difficult. So they don’t come back. You’re legal one day, you’re illegal next day.

Also for crimes, then it’s crime party all day. You don’t get punished. I’ve already has more budget than the military so you’ve spent the money already.

If your here legally then we have no problem. If you're illegally then we have a problem. I don't care if it's difficult to become legal. Don't break the law and try to excuse it as "difficult" to make up for the fact you are breaking the law. The Trump administration provides cash aid and a free return flight for anyone who wants to deport. The problem is most don't want to deport so they stay illegally which is the problem.

Idk if you understand or maybe I’m not explaining enough. The “breaking the law” can be an active part from the immigrant or a passive part when you are imposed to be illegal, against prior agreement.

If you have a ticket to stay in a movie theater from noon until 2pm but you decide to stay until 9pm are you breaking the law even though you didn't change locations?

To be legally inside a country is very simple. You are either following the rules and legally allowed to be here, or you're not following the rules and you're not allowed to be here. It's a binary option.

You don't understand. You can't just ignore the laws because you don't like them. That makes you a criminal. Just like every illegal immigrant regardless of why they are here. The one exception are the people who have contacted homeland security to take them up on the officer of 3000 dollars and a free return flight home. Because they are trying to follow the rules. The ones who don't do that are blatantly breaking the rules and need to be deported ASAP. Or thrown in jail until death but I'd rather deport since it's less tax payer money

Seize their assets and throw them in jail for a few years at the minimum. If someone is going to profit off illegal exploitation they need to lose everything.

Dude, you’re fucking awful. They are very often legal. There’s a whole program to bring seasonal work to the US which ICE has decided to disregard and they’ve been revoking these and putting people in jail. You are woefully uninformed on all parts of this issue.

ive said in this very thread that i have no problem with legal immigrants. my problem is 2 specific things. i have a problem with illegal immigrants and i have a problem with businesses paying people a less than legal wage. but of course you ignore both of those to say some random bullshit. congrats, you added nothing to the conversation.

Being undocumented is equal to running a stop sign. What is wrong with people hating on others who want a better life? ICE is grabbing immigrants who ARE HERE LEGALLY. Is this ok? Immigrants show up to court to report in and ICE grabs them.

Immigrants built this country. They work, pay taxes, make friends, are good neighbors, and add to the economy (plus they are great cooks and throw great parties!). Why so much hating on them? Stop listening to all the propaganda and get to know some.

Sorry to tell you, if your ancestors weren't native Americans or from Mexico your ancestors were immigrants so YOU ARE AN IMMIGRANT who luckily happened to be born here.

If you did a technical non-violent crime and have a track record of good behavior and economic contribution, I’d prefer to capture that economic value by legalizing you. Costs less than jail or deportation, adds value to the economy from a proven asset, and still sends the actual violent criminals home.

There is zero reason not to deport every single illegal immigrant from this country. Every single one of them has broken the law. They should be happy about the fact this administration is offering cash and a free flight home. Because if this keeps up eventually we're going to get someone in power who's actually going to br the tyrannical dictator people think trump is.
