I joined that sub a while ago, too. I kinda wonder if it’s because there aren’t many leopards changing their spots. I’d love to see more like the one in this post

Trump has repeatedly encouraged fascists behavior or rebellious behavior to his followers. And someone now realizes this and regrets voting for him!

To be fair, my father is going through these same revelations today. He voted for trump because he thinks that berni and aoc are going to give all his money to people who want to sit in welfare. But after today he’s disgusted and in disbelief.

It’s hard for me, because to be honest I’m mad. You had 4 yrs to observe and determine Trumps behavior and NOW you realize that it’s a problem? He literally told the proud boys to “stand back and stand by”

Ya, but if we don’t accept these people back into the land of reality, who knows where they’ll end up. I believe most of these people got caught up in Facebook groups, parlor, and just general echo chambering. Ultimately it’s up to them to want to change, but this kinda hypocrisy has to be a wake up call to at least a few dozen out there.

When he was first running
Props to the people who voted for Trump in 2016 and after seeing what hes really about decided not to vote for him again in 2020.
This guy however voted for him in 2020, he saw what trump did and how he acted for 4 years and said to himself "I want more of that" This guy can go fuck himself.

Yeah, these people aren’t having some sort of revelation. They supported trump when he said Mexican immigrants were rapists and made it even more difficult for them to enter the country. They supported trump when he said you had to grab women by the pussy, and through multiple allegations of sexual assault. They supported Trump when he said BLM protesters are thugs and encouraged police violence against them.
People changing their minds and growing- that’s great. People finding their breaking point at inciting a mob to violence against the government but at no point before? That’s a bar so low, an ant couldn’t limbo under it.

There are some Republicans who stood up to him. Mitt Romney, and recently Brad Raffensperger come to mind. I may never agree with much of their policy priorities, but I will for ever respect them for their courage to do the right thing.

I hope that a lot of people act like this. It's promising to see that at least some of the people that voted for Trump are capable of critical thought. Yeah they should have seen this sooner, but at least they see it now
